On June 28th, the Coastal Branch of the Vietnam-Russia Tropical Center held a conference to review military and defense work during the first six months of the year and to plan tasks for the remaining six months of 2024.

In the first six months of 2024, the Coastal Branch consistently adhered to the tasks and plans of its superiors; actively implemented comprehensively in all aspects of its work, successfully achieving the set goals and targets. Notably, it spearheaded the implementation of tasks under the Vietnam-Russia Joint Scientific and Technological Research Plan, comprising 9 projects with 42 different contents; for scientific, technological, and environmental tasks, the Vietnamese side organized and implemented 1 national-level pilot production project, 1 Ministry of Defense- level gene pool conservation project, 7 Center-level projects, and 3 trial contracts, ensuring timely completion; conducted acceptance testing and received recognition for the results of 5 projects (including 1 project with excellent results); published 4 scientific articles in ISI/Scopus-listed journals and 1 domestic article, and 3 international conference papers; and completed the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation with the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province. Successfully ensured the safety of research delegations comprising 60 Russian officials over 149 days, and the Russian presidential election at 30 Nguyen Thien Thuat Street, Nha Trang City; and provided effective logistical and technical support for both routine and unscheduled tasks.
