FIFA President offers condolences to family of Quang Nam player who died in accident

The accident, which occurred on June 25th, resulted in the death of player Vo Minh Hieu and injuries to several of his teammates from the Quang Nam youth team.

Football player Vo Minh Hieu passed away after an accident on Vi O Lac pass.

Following the accident, numerous condolences were sent to the Quang Nam youth team and the families of the victims.

Recently, FIFA president Gianni Infantino also shared some very emotional thoughts about this incident on Instagram.

"I would like to extend my deepest condolences to the families and friends of the victims of the accident and to the coaches involved with the Quang Nam youth team."

"They were unfortunately involved in an accident while on their way home after a match in the 2023 National Second Division," the FIFA president wrote.

"My thoughts and prayers are with the players who lost their lives and those who were injured in this tragic accident."

"I also want to express my sympathy to the leaders of the Vietnam Football Federation during this difficult time," Gianni Infantino continued.

Meanwhile, the President of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) also paid special attention to Vo Minh Hieu and his teammates.

"I am truly saddened and shocked to receive the news about the tragic accident involving the Quang Nam youth football team. The saddest thing is that player Vo Minh Hieu is no longer with us."

"I would like to extend my deepest condolences to his family, relatives, and friends. I hope all those injured will recover soon," AFC President Al Khalifa expressed.

On June 25th, the bus carrying the Quang Nam Youth team met with an accident on the Vi O Lac pass while returning from a match against Gama Vinh Phuc .

The bus accident resulted in the death of player Vo Minh Hieu. Three other players were also seriously injured.
