President To Lam decided to give gifts to 1.3 million meritorious people on the occasion of July 27.

On June 25, President To Lam signed Decision No. 590/QD-CTN on gift giving on the occasion of the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2024).

Accordingly, gifts for meritorious people include two levels of 600,000 VND and 300,000 VND. The total number of recipients is 1,371,586 people.

In particular, the gift of 600,000 VND for people with revolutionary contributions includes: Vietnamese Heroic Mothers who are receiving monthly preferential allowances, and individuals who have been awarded the title of Vietnamese Heroic Mother before July 28, 2024, but have not completed the procedures to receive monthly preferential allowances.

This level is also given to war invalids, people enjoying policies like war invalids, type B war invalids, sick soldiers with a body injury rate of 81% or more, who are receiving monthly preferential allowances; resistance fighters infected with toxic chemicals with a body injury rate of 81% or more, who are receiving monthly preferential allowances.

In addition, relatives of martyrs who are receiving monthly allowances; relatives of two or more martyrs who are receiving monthly allowances will also receive a gift of VND 600,000.

The gift of 300,000 VND is given to the following subjects: War invalids, people enjoying policies like war invalids, war invalids of type B, sick soldiers with a body injury rate of 80% or less who are receiving monthly preferential allowances; war invalids enjoying a labor loss regime.

The gift of 300,000 VND is also given to resistance fighters infected with toxic chemicals, with a body injury rate of 80% or less, who are receiving monthly preferential allowances.

In addition, this gift is also given to representatives of martyrs' relatives; martyr worshippers, in cases where martyrs have no relatives.

The total budget for giving gifts to the above beneficiaries is nearly 420 billion VND. This budget has been allocated in the State Budget plan for 2024.
