President Vo Van Thuong writes the first words of spring

Hanoi - President Vo Van Thuong attended the spring calligraphy ceremony at the Memorial Area of National Hero and World Cultural Figure Nguyen Trai on the morning of February 18th (the 9th day of the Lunar New Year).

Following the tradition of writing the first words of the year, at the memorial site in Nhi Khe commune, Thuong Tin district, President Vo Van Thuong, Secretary of the Hanoi City Party Committee Dinh Tien Dung, and other delegates wrote the words "Capital City - Hanoi - Culture - Civilization - Modernity". The President also wished the children attending the writing ceremony a happy new year.

The memorial complex dedicated to the national hero and world cultural figure Nguyen Trai, covering 2.7 hectares, was started in 2022 on the site of the former Ao Hue - Trai Oi area, where the scholar Nguyen Phi Khanh, Nguyen Trai's father, taught. The project includes several components such as a memorial house and an exhibition hall, which are now largely complete. Construction of the Chi Nghia Tower is scheduled to begin in mid-2024.

Mr. Nguyen Tien Minh, Secretary of the Thuong Tin District Party Committee, said the memorial site is a place to educate the spirit of unity and patriotic traditions for present and future generations. The project is also the result of the dedication and efforts of officials and people of Hanoi and Thuong Tin district to honor and commemorate the great contributions of Nguyen Trai, a founding father of the Le Dynasty, a national hero and world cultural figure.

Before attending the calligraphy opening ceremony, President Vo Van Thuong, Hanoi Party Secretary Dinh Tien Dung, and other delegates visited and presented gifts to workers at the construction site of the Ring Road 4 project in the Capital region.

According to the Hanoi City Investment and Construction Project Management Board (the investor), to date, component project 2.1 in Hanoi (parallel road) has organized 32 construction teams, including 23 teams for road construction and 9 teams for bridge construction. The total contract value of the 4 packages under the project is approximately 4,700 billion VND, and the construction output to date has reached over 580 billion VND.

The Ring Road 4 project in the Capital Region passes through Hanoi, Hung Yen, and Bac Ninh, connecting the Hanoi-Lao Cai and Noi Bai-Ha Long expressways, with a total investment of over 85,000 billion VND. The project started in 2022, aiming for basic completion in 2026 and commissioning in 2027.
