The patient was scheduled for surgery at the age of 65. The patient had gastric cancer and had received 1 cycle of preoperative chemotherapy. He was diagnosed with malignant tumor and scheduled for laparoscopic total gastrectomy and D2 lymph node dissection. The surgery lasted more than 4 hours and was successful. The doctors performed a total gastrectomy and D2 lymph node dissection for the patient.
The successful transfer of endoscopic tumor surgery techniques to cancer patients has contributed to improving the quality of medical examination and treatment for people at Quang Ngai General Hospital 2 in the western part of the province.
