(Dan Tri) - On the evening of September 10, the leader of Hoan My Saigon General Hospital informed Dan Tri reporters about the health condition of the girl who was assaulted by the owner of Tuyet Chinh Dental Clinic in Ho Chi Minh City.

Accordingly, Ms. NTTT (31 years old, from Dak Lak province) was admitted to Hoan My Saigon General Hospital with a soft tissue injury. After examination, doctors determined that the patient's injury was not serious, and she was mainly monitored and her psychological problems were stabilized.

After about 4 days of care and treatment, today (September 10), Ms. T. was discharged from the hospital when her health was stable, and was scheduled for a follow-up visit in 3-5 days.

Previously on September 8, representatives of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health visited and encouraged the patient and his family after the assault incident at Tuyet Chinh Dental Clinic.

As reported, on the afternoon of September 3, Ms. NTTT reported to the Hanh Thong Ward Police (HCMC) that she was attacked by Ms. NTTC (owner of Tuyet Chinh Dental Clinic) at the clinic.

According to Ms. T., at around 2:30 p.m. the same day, she went to Tuyet Chinh Dental Clinic and asked the receptionist to meet Ms. C. to discuss her dissatisfaction with the results of her orthodontic treatment at this facility. A few minutes later, Ms. C. appeared and the two sides exchanged words.

The dental clinic owner then threatened Ms. T. with an iron rod, pulled her down, snatched her phone, and threw it on the floor. At this time, a woman named U. spoke up to stop her and was also influenced by Ms. C. The incident was recorded by witnesses and spread on social media, causing public outrage.

After receiving information about the incident, on September 8, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health conducted a surprise inspection and discovered a series of violations at Tuyet Chinh Dental Clinic.

Specifically: The facility does not ensure one of the following conditions regarding physical facilities after being granted a license to operate medical examination and treatment; provides medical examination and treatment services beyond the scope of expertise stated in the operating license;

Failure to prepare medical records and files according to the form prescribed by law; advertising medical examination and treatment services that are not within the scope of professional activities stated in the medical examination and treatment license.

In addition, at the time of inspection, the authorities discovered 3 medical practitioners at the clinic but had not yet provided a Certificate of Practice for Medical Examination and Treatment.

Working with the inspection team, NTTC doctor said that patient T. came to the clinic to perform orthodontic treatment since 2021. Up to now, because she was not satisfied with the treatment results of the facility, Ms. T. posted the content on social media and went to the clinic to demand a refund of the treatment fee she had paid.

Doctor C. also admitted that the image of the person in the white coat assaulting the patient that was spread online was him.

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health said that this agency strongly condemns the acts of assault and violation of the health and property of patients by NTTC doctors, regardless of the cause.

While the Hanh Thong Ward Police investigate and collect evidence of the case, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health temporarily suspends the operations of the above clinic, as well as continues to clarify violations and strictly handle them according to regulations.
