Particularly impressive is the series of 3 gold medals of young athlete Vu Manh Huy. Notably, Vu Manh Huy is the son of table tennis legend Vu Manh Cuong - who is also the head coach of the CAND - T&T table tennis club.
What did coach Vu Manh Cuong say?
Sharing about his son's achievements, coach Vu Manh Cuong happily said: "Athlete Vu Manh Huy won 3 gold medals in this tournament. That is Huy's efforts during the training process, plus the coaching staff also closely followed and invested in him. Previously, at the national tournament, Huy also won a few gold medals. Starting out for a young athlete of 22 years old like that is also relatively good, he needs to try harder. When he was young, Huy also loved table tennis very much, plus his talent and efforts. Of course, his father also guided him from a young age. Initially, Huy also played a number of sports in parallel, not following a professional path. Recently, Huy has invested more time in table tennis, to have better results."
In this tournament, the athletes of the CAND – T&T Table Tennis Club showed their excellence in their skills. However, what made coach Vu Manh Cuong especially impressed were a few cases that may not have been good at first but then made remarkable progress to win gold medals. “Each tournament has a different nature. With this tournament, the players were able to bring out their good points, the points they had worked hard to practice. I was very impressed with the players who may not have been very good in the qualifying round but then won gold medals. That shows their hard work and effort.”
In recent times, the CAND - T&T table tennis club has been growing stronger and stronger, gradually leading the country in tournaments. Coach Vu Manh Cuong explained the team's continuous progress and success: "The important thing for the club to develop day by day is the attention from the leaders of the Public Security as well as the leaders of the T&T Group. The coaching staff is also united and constantly seeking expertise to guide the athletes. The athletes from the Public Security team, who were good before, now come to the club, with coaches who pay close attention to each team, and with a thicker coaching staff, the athletes are trained even more thoroughly."

To talk about a typical example of the combination between the CAND Table Tennis Club and the T&T Table Tennis Club, Coach Vu Manh Cuong immediately mentioned athlete Nguyen Van Tuan Anh - who also won 3 gold medals at this tournament: "Since the two clubs merged, there has been an impressive athlete Nguyen Van Tuan Anh of the U.15 age group. Tuan Anh has won many titles in the past, such as the Southeast Asian Youth Championship, the men's doubles championship, and at the youth tournament in Ninh Binh, he also won 3 gold medals, men's singles, men's doubles and men's team. In this tournament, Tuan Anh participated in 3 events and won gold medals in men's doubles, mixed doubles and men's singles. Tuan Anh is one of the proofs of the success of the merger of the two clubs."
Coach Vu Manh Cuong shared that the most important task of the club in the near future is to invest in developing the national team's athletes to contribute to the upcoming SEA Games: "In the near future, the promising athletes will focus on preparing for the SEA Games. The coaching staff will try to train the athletes to contribute to the country as much as possible and achieve good results."
