From the images and content posted on social networks, it is shown that the incident is said to have occurred at Truong Son Secondary School, Truong Son Commune, Nong Cong District (Thanh Hoa).

Ms. Truong Thi Yen, Principal of Truong Son Secondary School, said: The image of the school gate in the post on social networking groups is indeed of the school. However, the posted content is not true.

Ms. Truong Thi Yen informed: At around 5:00 p.m. on October 15, after finishing the last class, students of classes 7A and 7B had a work schedule, sweeping the school yard, and cleaning the school's two toilets. At around 6:00 p.m. on the same day, the students finished their work. A photo of students standing inside the school gate was taken by a parent who was picking up their child and posted on the class group with the content: Children should work earlier. After that, it is unclear how the photo was spread outside with untrue content, causing public misunderstanding and outrage.

Ms. Yen further explained that according to regulations, secondary school students do not have to contribute money for cleaning but will be assigned cleaning schedules for each class. The cleaning schedule is not fixed, each day the school assigns 2 classes. Classes without afternoon classes will work from 3:00 p.m. Classes with afternoon classes will work after the last class of the day.

"After the above incident was posted on social media, on the morning of October 16, Nong Cong District Police came to work with the school. I affirm that the school did not "threaten" parents by "locking up" and forcing students to clean the toilets until evening," said Ms. Yen.

Regarding this, Mr. Nguyen Thai Son, Head of the Departmentof Education and Training of Nong Cong district, said that the information posted on social networks is not true. He hopes that the authorities will soon clarify and handle misleading information that affects the reputation of the education sector.
