From implementing virtual reality exhibitions, promoting digital libraries, scanning QR codes of relics to building virtual reality tours... These activities are contributing to strongly changing people's approach to culture.

Virtual space - real artifacts, real stories

In 2025, Dong Nai Cultural - Cinema Center displayed and introduced virtual reality exhibitions revolving around themes such as: Dong Nai culture, people - historical imprints; Don ca tai tu - echoes of the South... These exhibitions are designed in 3D combined with sound and narration to recreate Dong Nai's cultural space in a vivid and intimate way. In this virtual space, viewers can access anytime, anywhere.

Ms. Ton Thi Thanh Tinh, Director of Dong Nai Cultural - Cinema Center, said that in recent years, the center has focused on applying technology in building virtual reality exhibitions. Notable ones include: Communist Party of Vietnam - Historical Marks; Sea and Islands - the Heart of Vietnam; Country Full of Joy; Dong Nai - Land of Culture and People... The center has introduced these exhibitions on its website and social networking platforms, helping people access Dong Nai's rich cultural and historical treasures through technology platforms.

Technology also opens up opportunities for interaction, discovery and experience in a modern and attractive way, so in addition to implementing virtual reality exhibitions, Dong Nai Cultural - Cinema Center also actively livestreams and broadcasts online on the center's fanpage of cultural and mobile propaganda programs. From the beginning of July 2025 to now, there have been more than 10 cultural performances in the wards: Phuoc Tan, Binh Phuoc , Dong Xoai; communes: Ta Lai, Dong Tam, Hung Thinh, Phu Ly, Tan Tien, Loc Thanh, Xuan Phu...

“In the coming time, the center will continue to develop digital exhibition forms, while strengthening coordination with localities and schools to bring culture closer to the community. We hope that every Dong Nai resident feels proud of their hometown,” Ms. Tinh shared.

Live streaming on fanpage is an effective method that Dong Nai Art Theater has maintained for many years. There have been hundreds of art programs, dozens of cai luong plays and cai luong excerpts introduced via Facebook social network, stored on this platform. The public inside and outside the province can enjoy and watch at any time the art programs imbued with Dong Nai cultural identity performed by the theater.

Expanding storage space and access to culture and history

At Dong Nai Library, the process of document digitization is taking place strongly. Thousands of books on Dong Nai history and culture have been digitized, integrating QR codes to serve readers for remote search. In particular, in 2025, the library built a historical experience model through an interactive screen system and virtual reality simulation. Not only does it help store historical information effectively, but the model also enriches the learning and research experience of readers.

Following this trend, many relics in the province have attached QR codes so that people can look up information directly at the tourist attractions. Each QR code is like a miniature archive, helping visitors learn about the value of the relics proactively, without having to rely on tour guides.

Or Dong Nai Museum builds virtual reality tours at the relic system, helping people from far away to visit online. This is a creative and effective way in the context of integration and digital transformation.

Provincial Party Committee member and Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Thi Ngoc Loan said: “After the merger, the industry will continue to promote digital transformation in the fields of culture, sports and tourism; complete the industry database, ensure connection and synchronous integration with the national database system. Apply geographic information system (GIS) in the management, protection and promotion of cultural heritage”.

Deputy Director of Dong Nai Museum Pham Van Minh said that recently Dong Nai Museum has been digitizing museum artifacts, focusing on typical artifacts. After digitization, the museum will continue to build virtual exhibition spaces in thematic galleries. This will not only help to store and preserve artifacts sustainably, but also expand access to the public, especially the younger generation, through online platforms.

Digital technology has been helping to expand Dong Nai’s traditional cultural and historical storage spaces, bringing heritage closer to the community. This is not only a trend but also a long-term solution to preserve and promote cultural and historical values for future generations.
