Speaking at the training session, Major General Pham Hai Chau, Deputy Director of the Department of Rescue and Relief, emphasized: “Digital transformation is not only an objective requirement but also a condition to improve the quality of command and operation in civil defense work, effectively respond to natural disasters, incidents and search and rescue.

Identifying the "Digital Popularization" Movement as a practical solution for each officer and soldier to master technology, Major General Pham Hai Chau requested that the "Digital Popularization" Movement must be deployed comprehensively and widely to all subjects in the entire agency, creating a competitive movement to study and practice digital skills, actively participating in the digital transformation process.

The highlight is the “Digital Literacy Popularization” Movement launched with the motto “Learn from the basics, master each software, spread the spirit of digitalization”, aiming to gradually “eliminate digital illiteracy” and popularize digital technology skills throughout the unit. The goal is that by the end of 2025, 100% of officers and soldiers of the Rescue Department will have mastered basic digital skills and be proficient in using digital tools at work.

The "Digital Education for the People" movement is a concrete step to realize the digital transformation project in the Vietnam People's Army by 2025, with a vision to 2030, while contributing to building a revolutionary, elite, modern army that can meet the requirements of tasks in the new situation.
