This was the assessment at the meeting of the Appraisal Team, evaluating the works participating in the Political Contest on protecting the Party's ideological foundation in 2025 of the Government Party Committee, which took place on July 14, organized by the Government Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission in coordination with the Party Committee of the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam ( BIDV ).
In order to select outstanding and quality works to compete at the Central level, the Government Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission issued Decision No. 02 dated June 27, 2025 to establish the above Appraisal Team. Emphasizing that this is the first such competition of the Government Party Committee, Permanent Deputy Secretary of BIDV Party Committee Tran Xuan Hoang highly appreciated the thoughtful and thorough preparation of the competition.
To date, BIDV Party Committee has 251 grassroots Party organizations with over 12,000 Party members. Since being under the Central Enterprise Party Committee, BIDV Party Committee has been one of the pioneering and exemplary Party Committees participating in the Political Contest to protect the Party's ideological foundation.
According to Tran Xuan Hoang, Standing Deputy Secretary of BIDV Party Committee, the appraisal team's appraisal and evaluation of the entries to the Contest contributed to the successful implementation of Conclusion 89 of the Politburo on strengthening the protection of the Party's ideological foundation. Through assisting the team, BIDV also gained experience to improve the quality of the entries of BIDV Party Committee.
In recent times, the Government Party Committee has widely launched the contest to its affiliated party organizations, receiving a wide and positive response with more than 1,000 entries. In order to select outstanding and quality entries to compete at the Central level, the Government Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission issued Decision No. 02 dated June 27, 2025 to establish a Final Evaluation Team for entries to the 2025 Political Essay Contest to Protect the Party's Ideological Foundation of the Government Party Committee.
Reporting the summary of the results of the evaluation of the entries, Ms. Ha Thi Trang, Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Government Party Committee, Head of the Evaluation Team, said that 51 party organizations under the Government Party Committee and the Youth Union have extensively implemented the contest.
The contest received the active participation of cadres and party members in writing articles to contribute to protecting the Party's ideological foundation, closely associated with responding to emulation movements and campaigns to welcome party congresses at all levels and affiliated party committees, towards the 1st Government Party Congress and the 14th National Party Congress.
Some units systematically organize, launch and award prizes at their Party Committees such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Home Affairs, BIDV, Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank) and many other units.
Of which, Agribank has nearly 1,000 entries, BIDV 300 entries, Vietcombank 365 entries... Many entries show serious investment in both content and form. The selected entries have clear arguments, the content focuses on a number of key issues, is topical, is linked to grassroots practice, and accurately reflects issues that are of public concern.
The highlight of this year's entries is that, in addition to focusing on fighting and refuting false and hostile arguments, many articles have proactively expanded their scope of approach and deeply analyzed issues of building and developing the Party's ideological and theoretical foundations in the new period.
Not only stopping at protecting the core values of Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh thought, but also highlighting the need to continue to creatively develop theories on the basis of summarizing the practice of innovation and integration associated with the innovation context of the country and the world, especially the directions and decisions of the Central Committee.
“This is a positive direction to contribute to enriching the content, depth and scope of the contest, while demonstrating the sense of responsibility and theoretical thinking capacity of the staff and party members of the Government Party Committee,” Ms. Ha Thi Trang emphasized.
Out of more than 4,000 entries, 1,345 qualified to be selected for the preliminary round. Through the preliminary evaluation, the Evaluation Committee unanimously selected 365 entries for the final round, including 183 magazine entries, 129 newspaper entries, and 16 video clips.
At the meeting, members of the Appraisal Team, representatives of Steering Committee 35 of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, and Central Steering Committee 35 exchanged and discussed many issues related to the selection of topics, classification, and quality of works. Many opinions shared the assessment that the works were topical, with many articles being in-depth, emotional, and referring to specific models./.
