Happylife Agricultural Cooperative conducts livestream selling products via e-commerce platform.
According to custom, people in the mountainous areas of the province are always attached to the mountains and forests, crops and livestock are mainly produced to serve the needs of daily life. Only a small part of the products are brought for exchange and trade. However, currently, many localities have developed trade and services, especially the trend of using products with regional characteristics, specialties... Therefore, not only the value of plants and animals is increased, but people also learn, apply and create more ways to process agricultural products, making more finished products.
For a long time, Linh Son commune has been famous in the market for Chau Lang longan candy products of Lang Chanh longan candy cooperative. Promoting the advantages of traditional brands and the acumen in improving designs and improving product quality, Chau Lang longan candy was recognized as a 3-star OCOP in 2022. Along with gradually improving quality, the facility focuses on promoting and introducing products. Currently, in addition to the distribution store system in and outside the province, Lang Chanh longan candy cooperative also promotes online sales through social networking sites and puts products on e-commerce platforms. Ms. Pham Thi Hoa, Deputy Director of Lang Chanh Longan Candy Cooperative, said: "The development of the internet has opened up many opportunities for people to do business online, especially through e-commerce platforms. In addition to traditional sales channels such as agents, supermarkets, and distribution stores, the cooperative focuses on promoting products online through websites, zalo, facebook, and e-commerce platforms with a large number of interactions. For example, through googlemap, the number of people knowing the location increased by 100% in the first month and remained stable at 10% in the following months. Wholesale and retail relationships on platforms such as shopee, sendo, etc. have also gradually increased, and revenue has become more and more stable."
At the OCOP production facility, Minh Huong bacon of Cao Thi Van production household, Cam Tu commune is a 3-star OCOP product recognized in 2024. The special feature of Minh Huong bacon is that all stages from raising, slaughtering to processing are carried out in a closed process. Pork is not imported from outside slaughterhouses, but the family is self-sufficient, which helps the facility to be completely assured and convince customers with the quality of the product. Ms. Cao Thi Van, the owner of the production facility, said: "After many years of operation, my family has researched and processed to find the formula for the product with its own brand. Although it has its own identity, currently on the market, the product always has to compete with many similar products and product marketing channels. Therefore, we always pay attention to the promotion and introduction of products, especially through online sales channels, such as Facebook, Zalo and e-commerce sites".
By actively participating in training courses on business through e-commerce platforms, Ms. Cao Thi Van has proactively made short videos introducing products and production processes. At the same time, she will periodically organize livestream sessions to sell products directly on e-commerce platforms. It is known that with proactive adaptation to the market, especially the digital market, Minh Huong bacon products are widely consumed in the market. Revenue in 2025 is estimated at more than 1.5 billion VND, of which more than 50% are orders from e-commerce platforms.
According to statistics from the Provincial New Rural Development Program Coordination Office, as of November 2025, the mountainous communes of the province have developed 166 OCOP products. Most of the products are developed from local specialties, so they all have their own consumption markets and customer groups. Therefore, with the support of OCOP stars, the products become strong "brands" in the traditional market. However, with the strong development of the digital market, the subjects have proactively learned and researched to avoid being "out of step" in the market. Up to now, some OCOP products of the mountainous areas have effectively used digital platforms to promote and consume products, such as: Muong Deng salt products, Yen Thang commune; Happylive black tea, Cam Thach commune; Tho Rung smoked buffalo meat, Nhu Xuan commune; Damia Thanh Phat macadamia, Thuong Ninh commune...
To support OCOP entities in general and entities in mountainous areas in particular to master e-commerce, every year, departments and branches in the province have organized dozens of training courses to guide producers on the necessary skills to bring goods to e-commerce platforms. At the same time, raise awareness of entities in producing safe agricultural products, ensuring the quality committed to e-commerce platforms. Along with that, support links with e-commerce platforms such as postmart.vn, voso.vn... to support entities to bring agricultural products and OCOP products closer to consumers.
