Building new rural highlights

In Quyet Thang village, Thanh Vinh commune, when mentioning Mr. Le Trong Ninh, Party cell secretary, village chief, people all give him compliments. For more than 20 years of working in the common work, having held many different positions, Mr. Ninh has always devoted himself to the people, been exemplary, enthusiastic, and responsible in all activities and movements of the village, contributing to building a united and increasingly developed community.

Born and raised in Thanh Vinh, Ninh understands the area, strengths and difficulties of his hometown better than anyone else. Therefore, after graduating from high school, instead of going to the South to start a career like many of his peers, he decided to stay in his hometown to develop the economy and actively participate in activities in the village. In 2006, when he was just 26 years old, Ninh was trusted by cadres, party members and people in the village to be elected as the village party cell secretary, becoming the youngest village party cell secretary of the commune at that time. In his new position, Ninh is always exemplary, enthusiastic and responsible in his work, constantly training, striving, and implementing well the teachings of President Ho Chi Minh: "Whatever is beneficial to the people, do your best to do it, whatever is harmful to the people, avoid it". Ninh and the Party cell committee have led and organized many practical activities that have been recognized and highly appreciated by the people.

Typically, he has coordinated with mass organizations to do a good job of propaganda and mobilizing people to contribute to building the village cultural house. Mr. Ninh shared: “Previously, the village cultural house was just a level four house that had deteriorated, organizing meetings and community activities encountered many difficulties. To create consensus among the people on building a more spacious cultural house, the Party Committee organized a meeting in the Party cell first, then organized a meeting for people to discuss, contribute opinions and clearly understand and publicly monitor contributions and expenditures. Thanks to the democratic, public and transparent way of doing things, everything in the village was implemented smoothly, not only local people but also children living far away from home actively supported and contributed to building the cultural house”.

With the joint efforts and consensus of the people, after a short period of propaganda and mobilization, in 2017, the Quyet Thang village cultural house was completed with a spacious campus, with a total cost of over 1 billion VND, mainly from the people's contributions. Since its inception, the cultural house has become a familiar place, attracting a large number of people to participate in meetings as well as local cultural and artistic movements.

In addition, Mr. Ninh also actively mobilized people to invest in building roads; planting and taking care of trees along the roads; building 3km of lighting lines; installing 17 cameras on main roads... Thereby contributing to creating a more prosperous new rural appearance with the criteria of bright - green - clean - beautiful - safe.

In economic development, along with the development of commercial services, Mr. Ninh also actively mobilized people to renovate mixed gardens and plant valuable fruit trees. The economy developed, people's incomes were increasingly improved, and cultural and social activities in the commune had many positive changes. The village cultural house became a familiar place for activities, where people regularly participated in intergenerational clubs, folk dance, volleyball, and health care. Thereby, creating community cohesion, strengthening great solidarity in the community, joining hands and contributing to build Quyet Thang village into a bright spot in the new rural construction in Thanh Vinh commune. That result had a great contribution from cadres, party members and people in the village, including the role of Party cell secretary and village chief Le Trong Ninh.

According to Mr. Ninh, the cadres in the village are the "bridge" between the Party's will and the people's hearts. Therefore, along with being exemplary and responsible in their work, each cadre is also a "fire-spreader", contributing to bringing the emulation movements in the locality to go deeper and deeper. To create high consensus and unity among the people, cadres need to be close to the grassroots, thereby grasping the thoughts and aspirations and promptly resolving the difficulties and problems of the people. At the same time, promoting proactiveness and creativity in each activity associated with the specific tasks of each organization and implementing well the motto "people know, people discuss, people do, people inspect, people supervise, people benefit", thereby creating community cohesion, so that everyone joins hands to build the homeland to become more and more prosperous and civilized.
