
The congress was attended by city leaders, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Heroes of the People's Armed Forces; and 300 official delegates representing more than 216,000 union members in Da Nang city.
During the past term, under the leadership of the City Party Committee, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor , the close coordination of the government at all levels, and the efforts of the entire system, the activities of the Da Nang City Trade Union have undergone many innovations and creative changes, achieving comprehensive results in all fields.

Prior to the merger, the Da Nang City and Quang Nam Provincial Federations of Labor managed 3,382 grassroots trade unions and labor unions with 407,936 members. After the merger, the new Da Nang City Federation of Labor was established, and the Central Committee's Resolution on ending the operation of trade unions in administrative agencies and public service units receiving 100% of their salaries from the state budget was implemented.
As of October 31, 2025, the Da Nang City Federation of Labor manages 1,767 grassroots trade unions and labor unions, with 216,707 members.
For the 2025-2030 term, the City Trade Union Congress has set the goal of building a strong and comprehensive city trade union that operates effectively, is capable of adapting to and resolving emerging issues, and performs its functions and tasks well in the new situation; serving as a solid political and social foundation of the Party and the State; and effectively acting as a bridge, maintaining close ties between Party committees, government agencies, and the city's working class and laborers.
The goal is to build the City Trade Union into the largest representative organization, a central hub for uniting the working class and laborers, a reliable bridge, a solid support, a partner with businesses and workers, a pioneering force in digital transformation, innovation, and the task of building and developing Da Nang into a modern city with a high quality of life, becoming a growth pole of Vietnam, and joining the country in entering the era of national progress.

The Congress announced the decision of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to appoint the Executive Committee of the City Trade Union, term 2025-2030, consisting of 39 members, the Standing Committee consisting of 15 members, and the Inspection Committee consisting of 11 members.
Comrade Phan Thi Thuy Linh has been appointed as the Chairperson of the Da Nang City Federation of Labor; the Vice-Chairpersons are Le Van Dai, Nguyen Thi Ngoc Anh, and Ho Thi Lan Huong. Comrade Nguyen Thi Ngoc Anh, Vice-Chairperson, has been appointed as the Head of the Inspection Committee of the Da Nang City Federation of Labor.

Delivering a keynote address at the congress, Comrade Nguyen Dinh Khang, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, congratulated and commended the efforts and comprehensive achievements that the city's trade unions at all levels have made in the past period, making important contributions to the overall achievements of the trade union organization.
Emphasizing that our country is entering a new era of development, the Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Nguyen Dinh Khang, requested that the Executive Committee of the Da Nang City Trade Union urgently develop an action program to concretize and implement the Resolution of the Congress; prioritizing resources to implement breakthrough areas.

At the same time, direct and guide grassroots trade unions and affiliated commune/ward trade unions to concretize work programs suitable for each locality and facility, avoiding formalism and ineffectiveness. Develop and promulgate operational regulations, strictly implement the principles of democratic centralism, solidarity, and unity under the comprehensive leadership of the Party committee.
