The Department of Science and Technology of Da Nang City said that to implement Resolution No. 57 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation, the City is prioritizing investment in many projects on science and technology.
In particular, Da Nang City has implemented 5 key projects in the fields of science , technology, innovation and digital transformation in 2025.
Specific projects include the Artificial Intelligence Lab Project; the Lab-Fab project combining small-scale production of advanced semiconductor packaging technology.
In addition, there is also the Da Nang Innovation Space project; the project to invest in machinery and equipment for the Da Nang Biotechnology Center; the project to invest in equipment and renovate the LAN network for the new commune and ward headquarters after the merger.

The Artificial Intelligence Lab Project has been added to the 2025 public investment capital plan and the medium-term public investment capital plan for the period 2021-2025 by Da Nang City. The project is expected to approve the contractor selection plan for construction and installation in November 2025 and open bidding in early January 2026. The project is expected to be completed on August 30, 2026.
The Lab-Fab Semiconductor Microchip Advanced Packaging Technology Laboratory Project was allowed by Da Nang City to allow VSAP LAB Joint Stock Company to rent 2,288 m2 of land in Hai Chau Ward to implement the project, with a total investment of 1,800 billion VND; expected to be inaugurated in January 2026.
The Danang Innovation Space project was assigned by Danang City to the Danang Civil Works and Infrastructure Construction Investment Management Board as the investor. The total investment of the project is nearly 490 billion VND; the land area used for construction is 1,863 m2.

The project to invest in equipment and machinery for the Da Nang Biotechnology Center has been approved by the city to adjust and supplement the public investment capital plan for 2025 and the medium-term public investment capital plan for the period 2021-2025; The Department of Science and Technology has established a Council to evaluate the Report proposing the investment policy for the project to invest in equipment and machinery for the Da Nang Biotechnology Center.
The project to invest in equipment and renovate LAN for new commune and ward headquarters after the merger is being carried out by Da Nang City in bidding procedures; the selection of contractors is expected to be completed in August 2025 and construction will be completed in September 2025.
In addition, the company has also invested in developing many digital infrastructure projects in Da Nang city.
Specifically, the IDC International Data Center project in Da Nang High-Tech Park, with a scale of 1,000 racks and a capacity of 18 MW, with a total investment of nearly 800 billion VND. Viettel Group has started construction of the Viettel high-tech software building and is preparing to continue construction of the Viettel Group's submarine fiber optic cable station in August 2025.
In addition, there is also a Data Center project in Hoa Khanh Industrial Park with a scale of 1,000 racks, with a total investment of 2,200 billion VND, which will be invested in construction to form a regional Data Center and a regional-scale Data Center in Da Nang.
