Provincial People's Council representatives meet with voters in Vu Quang and Thach Ha districts.

Issues related to land use right certificates, liquidation of facilities after mergers, lack of clean water, payment of benefits to meritorious individuals, etc., were raised by voters in Vu Quang and Thach Ha districts ( Ha Tinh province ) in their petitions to the Provincial People's Council delegation.

On the afternoon of November 14th, in Huong Minh commune, the delegation of provincial People's Council representatives elected in Vu Quang district held a meeting with voters from the communes of Huong Minh, Quang Tho, Tho Dien, and Vu Quang town.

At the meeting, representatives of the Provincial People's Council delegation elected in Vu Quang district reported to the voters on the socio -economic and national defense and security situation in 2023 and the province's socio-economic and national defense and security development plan for 2024; the expected main contents of the 18th Provincial People's Council's year-end regular session in 2023 and some other issues.

During the meeting, voter Vu Quang proposed that the authorities should plan to invest in the construction of a concrete bridge across the Ngan Truoi River at Cho Quanh, connecting the communes of Huong Minh, Quang Tho, and Duc Huong to facilitate travel, trade, and economic development in the region; and to promptly issue land use right certificates to the people in the Hoi Trung resettlement area (Quang Tho commune).

Voters also suggested that the authorities should consider allowing Quang Tho commune to auction off the remaining residential land plots in the Hoi Trung resettlement area; they also requested that some post-merger constructions be abandoned and that the local authorities be allowed to liquidate these projects to avoid waste.

Voter Nguyen Xuan Toan, Vice Chairman of the People's Council of Huong Minh commune, raised concerns about riverbank erosion in the area.

Some voters also reported that, following the heavy rains and floods, serious landslides have occurred on both banks of the Ngan Truoi River, in the sections passing through Huong Minh and Quang Tho communes. Therefore, they requested that the district and province conduct surveys and develop plans to build embankments to prevent riverbank erosion and ensure the safety of the residents.

Deputy Head of the Economic and Budget Committee of the Provincial People's Council, Nguyen Van Tuan, received and addressed issues of concern to voters.

On behalf of the Provincial People's Council delegation elected in Vu Quang district, Deputy Head of the Economic and Budget Committee of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Van Tuan acknowledged the heartfelt and responsible opinions expressed by the voters; and at the same time clarified and explained some issues of concern to the voters. Regarding suggestions and proposals falling under the authority of the Provincial People's Council, the delegation will receive, compile, and categorize them for submission to the upcoming session and forward them to relevant levels and sectors for consideration and handling according to their authority.

On the afternoon of November 14, at Thach Tri commune, the delegation of Ha Tinh Provincial People's Council elected in Thach Ha district had a meeting with voters of Thach Tri, Thach Van, Thach Hoi, Thach Thang, and Tuong Son communes.

At the meeting, after hearing the report from the representatives of the Provincial People's Council delegation elected in Thach Ha district on the socio-economic situation, national defense and security in 2023 and the socio-economic development and national defense and security plan of the province in 2024; and the expected main contents of the regular session at the end of 2023 of the 18th Provincial People's Council, the voters frankly proposed and suggested related issues.

Accordingly, voters requested that authorities at all levels address difficulties in the procedures for issuing land use right certificates for land allocated before 1980. Regarding agriculture and rural development, voters suggested that leaders at all levels focus on planning key crop-growing areas to enhance agricultural production value; resolutely handle violations involving the use of herbicides that cause environmental pollution; and allocate funds for repairing irrigation canals to serve agricultural production in localities. At the same time, many voters reflected on the shortage of clean water...

Mr. Ho Thai Thuong, a voter from Thach Van commune, submitted a petition regarding issues related to education.

In addition, issues related to payment of benefits to meritorious people, resolving outstanding issues in each locality, paying attention to investing in inter-commune roads, supporting school repairs, recruiting teachers... were also recommended and proposed by voters at the conference.

At the conference, representatives from the Thach Ha district leadership also answered and clarified some of the issues raised by voters that fell within their jurisdiction.

These suggestions and proposals will be compiled and submitted to the Provincial People's Council and relevant agencies for consideration and resolution.
