Congress of delegates of Thong Nguyen Commune Party Committee: Specific resolutions with specific tasks

On the afternoon of August 6, the Party Committee of Thong Nguyen Commune, Tuyen Quang Province held the First Congress of the Commune Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term. The Congress was attended by 120 delegates representing more than 534 Party members in the entire Party Committee. Comrade Van Dinh Thao, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Director of the Department of Finance attended and directed the Congress.

Thong Nguyen Commune was merged from Thong Nguyen Commune and Xuan Minh Commune with a total area of nearly 11,000 hectares and a population of over 6,200 people. During the past term, the Party Committee, government and people of Thong Nguyen Commune have promoted the spirit of self-reliance, creativity, solidarity and unity, achieving many important results in various fields, creating a foundation for the development of the commune in the new period. Average income per capita reached 39 million VND/person/year, food reached 500kg/person/year.

As a key commune of Hoang Su Phi district, Ha Giang province (old), Thong Nguyen commune has invested heavily in developing tourism based on nature and exploiting cultural identity. Besides, the commune is also a center for producing Shan Tuyet tea with 5 products recognized as OCOP, of which 2 products are honored to represent the whole province and are recognized as 5-star OCOP at the national level.

With the theme: "Improving the leadership capacity of the Party; promoting the strength of ethnic solidarity; promoting digital transformation and developing ecological agricultural tourism economy; maintaining political stability; ensuring social security", the 1st Congress of the Party Committee of Thong Nguyen commune unanimously approved 24 main Resolution targets for the 2025-2030 term, identifying 1 breakthrough program and 5 key tasks towards the goal of building Thong Nguyen commune into a bright spot in the province's socio-economic development.

Speaking at the Congress, Comrade Van Dinh Thao, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Director of the Department of Finance acknowledged and praised the spirit of overcoming difficulties and efforts of the entire Party Committee, government and people of Thong Nguyen commune during the past term. He affirmed: The achievements of Thong Nguyen commune have contributed significantly to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term.

At the same time, it is recommended that after the Congress, the Party Executive Committee of the commune needs to urgently complete the action program, concretize the Resolution with practical, specific, focused and key tasks and solutions, and launch an emulation movement to achieve achievements to welcome the 18th Provincial Party Congress and the 14th National Congress of the Party.

The Party Executive Committee of the commune needs to focus on leading and directing the early consolidation of the organization, consolidating solidarity and unity within the entire Party; strengthening dissemination and propaganda, promoting the effectiveness of the two-level local government model, creating unity in awareness and action among cadres and party members and high consensus among the people.

He suggested that the Party Committee of Thong Nguyen commune should focus on five key tasks in the areas of building and rectifying the Party and a clean and strong political system; effectively operating the two-level local government model; synchronously implementing regional economic development planning in conjunction with the Provincial Planning; exploiting the potential and advantages of the locality to develop the economy and increase people's income through eco-tourism and community tourism; promoting the strengths of Shan Tuyet tea trees; focusing on developing the private economy, cooperative economy and maintaining national defense and security.
