During the compilation process, despite facing difficulties in source materials, especially during the resistance period, the compilation team still adhered to scientific principles, objectively comparing events and characters. Many letters and articles from the public expressing their feelings for VOV through the ages were also included, reflecting the bond between the station and its listeners.
Editor Nguyen Thi Trang (National Political Publishing House Truth) said: “The book vividly depicts 80 years of accompanying the country, reflecting Vietnam’s economic and social life through each period, showing that VOV has always accompanied from the era of independence to the era of the country’s rise”. She said the editing process was based on comparing official documents of the Party and State such as Ho Chi Minh Complete Works, Complete Party Documents, Government History, National Assembly documents ... to ensure accuracy, representativeness and historical value.
