Dak Lak: Tornado blew off roofs of 4 houses, one person injured

On the morning of August 6, Mr. Vo Ba Dat, Chairman of the People's Committee of Son Thanh Commune (Dak Lak Province), said that the locality is urgently overcoming the consequences of the tornado that occurred on the evening of August 5, which caused the roofs of 4 houses to be blown off, 2 electric poles to fall, and one person to be injured.

The storm blew off the roofs of many houses in Son Thanh commune.

According to initial information, the tornado and heavy rain that occurred in Son Tho village, Son Thanh commune happened suddenly, when many people traveling by motorbike had to find shelter. A gas station employee was injured when a corrugated iron sheet was blown away by the wind and cut his body.

Recently, the eastern part of Dak Lak province has been experiencing extremely hot weather. Therefore, when storms and tornadoes occur, people are unable to react in time.

Local authorities are coordinating with forces to support affected households, and at the same time, making statistics and proposing timely support plans.
