In implementation of Prime Minister 's Directive No. 39/CD-TTg dated April 17, 2025, on ensuring traffic order and safety to serve the travel needs of the people during the April 30 - May 1 holiday period, the Ministry of Science and Technology issued Official Letter No. 792/BKHCN-CVT dated April 18, 2025, requesting telecommunications enterprises to implement several measures to ensure smooth communication during the April 30 - May 1 holiday period.

Telecommunications businesses such as: Viettel Military Telecommunications Group; Vietnam Post and Telecommunications Group (VNPT); MobiFone Telecommunications Corporation; GTel Global Mobile Telecommunications Joint Stock Company; Vietnamobile Mobile Telecommunications Joint Stock Company; Vietnam Maritime Electronic Information Company Limited; FPT Telecom Joint Stock Company; CMC Telecommunications Infrastructure Joint Stock Company and other telecommunications service providers with network infrastructure.

Specifically, businesses are required to disseminate the content of the Official Dispatch to all officials, civil servants, and employees within their units, and to seriously implement the Prime Minister's directives in the Official Dispatch, ensuring discipline and safety in traffic and travel during the holiday period.

Businesses are strengthening their communication strategies, developing specific plans, and assigning staff, civil servants, and employees to be on duty to ensure communication during the holiday period.

Implement solutions to ensure network security; ensure uninterrupted communication to serve the communication needs of state agencies, organizations, businesses, and telecommunication service users during the holiday period.

Develop a plan to expand transmission capacity and bandwidth for domestic and international connections to ensure network congestion is avoided during peak periods of subscriber traffic.

Increase the deployment of mobile base transceiver stations (BTS) to areas with high concentrations of people such as squares, parks, gardens, pedestrian streets, fireworks display areas, and areas celebrating the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Southern Vietnam and national reunification, especially in areas where military parades and marches are held, to readily supplement traffic volume, ensure smooth communication without network congestion, and meet the maximum communication needs of telecommunication service users.

Prepare contingency plans for incident handling, information recovery, and mutual support among businesses in the same area when necessary (roaming, sharing, common infrastructure use, etc.) to ensure maximum fulfillment of emerging telecommunications service needs of agencies, organizations, businesses, and service users.

Coordinate with relevant units to promptly detect and prevent acts of exploiting telecommunications networks and the Internet to send and disseminate information with illegal content, and to spread viruses that damage electronic portals/websites. Be ready to support, guide, and warn service users about online fraud committed by individuals exploiting telecommunications networks to commit fraud and misappropriate assets, so that they can proactively prevent and avoid such activities.

Ensure good security, safety, and fire prevention at agencies and units during the holiday period. Prepare plans to ensure communication for disaster prevention and search and rescue operations should unexpected natural disasters or emergencies occur during the holiday period.

In case you need assistance with troubleshooting or information recovery, please contact the Department of Telecommunications, Ministry of Science and Technology through specialist Nguyen Thanh Ha at 0967.202.838 or email address: nguyenthanh_ha@vnta.gov.vn./.
