The beauties of the Miss Universe Vietnam contest took a fashion photoshoot to honor traditional culture. They transformed into Northern girls in costumes made of chiffon and silk.

Beauties take photos with the image of the dragon - the mascot of the year of the Dragon. Since ancient times, the image of the dragon has been associated with Vietnamese culture, symbolizing authority, luck, and prosperity.

Miss Xuan Hanh said she was excited when the crew came up with the idea.

Runner-up Hoang Thi Nhung wears a flowing outfit, combined with a crow-beak scarf accessory.

Runner-up Thuy Tien wore a stylized ao dai with a halter neck, taking photos with the idea of a carp transforming into a dragon.

Kim Duyen said through the photo series she wants to send wishes of luck and success to everyone in the new year.

Runner-up Le Thao Nhi said that she used to live abroad and did not have many opportunities to learn about Vietnamese culture. Through the photo series, she loves the traditional beauty of her nation even more and promotes it more to international friends.
