Famous artists welcome the new year with "Happiness Concert"

(NLĐO) - People's Artist Bui Cong Duy and many other famous artists will present a special "Happiness Concert" at Ho Guom Theater on the evening of December 29th.


People's Artist Bui Cong Duy, Honorary Professor KazNUA, Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Academy of Music, who is also the artistic director and performer at this year's event, shared that "Happiness Concert" will bring audiences a night of music filled with the glorious colors of classical music , a gathering of outstanding works by great composers.

The program will take the audience on an emotional journey from profound to exhilarating through 20 classic pieces from historically significant films around the world , famous arias from operas and musicals, and joyful Christmas Carols, featuring outstanding works by great composers.

The program features renowned classical works such as "La Danza"—one of the standout pieces from Gioachino Rossini's "Les soirées musicales" collection. Written in the tarantella style, a vibrant folk dance from Southern Italy, this work is full of energy, joy, and captivating from the very first notes. Alongside it are the sweet and romantic melodies of romanzas like "Musica Proibita" (Stanislao Gastaldon), or "Meine Lippen, sie küssen so heiß from the operetta Giuditta" (Franz Lehar), a charming and enchanting aria that combines grace, passion, and masterful vocal technique.

Furthermore, the concert also featured the legendary "Radetzky March" (Johann Strauss I). This is not only a classic work by Johann Strauss I but also a piece of music full of energy, symbolizing joy, unity, and timeless exhilaration, a symbol of pride and a victorious spirit.

Returning to the flow of time in recent years, audiences continue to be immersed in the world of classic film scores. "He's a Pirate" is the energetic and vibrant theme song from the blockbuster film "Pirates of the Caribbean." Composed by the talented trio Hans Zimmer, Klaus Badelt, and Geoff Zanelli, this work has become a musical icon associated with epic adventures, fierce battles, and the free spirit of the sea. In addition, we cannot forget "Music of the Night," one of the outstanding and captivating pieces from Andrew Lloyd Webber's legendary musical "The Phantom of the Opera."

The concert also featured a special soundtrack from the documentary "Vietnam," composed by Gara Garayev – one of Azerbaijan's most prominent representatives, and a former composition student of D. "O Holy Night" is one of the most famous Christmas carols, composed by the French musician Adolphe Adam in 1847. Based on the poem "Minuit, chrétiens," the work brings a solemn, emotional, and sacred atmosphere to the Christmas season. Or, alongside that, "Silent Night" (Stille Nacht) is one of the most famous and beloved Christmas carols worldwide. Since its creation, "Silent Night" has become a musical symbol of the Christmas season, translated into over 300 languages ​​and performed all over the world, carrying a message of peace , love, and hope to all humanity...

"Happiness Concert" is planned to be held annually around New Year's Day, and this year marks the first edition.

This year's program features 120 Vietnamese artists from the VNAMYO Youth Symphony Orchestra - Vietnam National Academy of Music, under the direction of conductor Tran Nhat Minh. Alongside them are world-renowned soloists and singers such as soprano Claudia Potemkina from the Belarusian Grand Theatre, Italian tenor Manuel Amati, and Dao To Loan from Vietnam.
