(Dan Tri) - While going to a meeting, seeing a woman lying motionless on the side of the road after an accident, the Director of Bim Son General Hospital (Thanh Hoa) immediately got out of the car to give first aid to the victim.

The online community is showering praise on a woman from Thanh Hoa for her beautiful and timely actions in rescuing a victim.

According to content shared on social networks, while traveling on the road, seeing a woman in an accident, a female doctor believed to be the Director of Bim Son General Hospital (Thanh Hoa) stopped the car to check, give first aid and called an ambulance to take the victim to the hospital.

Through investigation, the woman in the story is Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong, Director of Bim Son General Hospital, Thanh Hoa province.

Talking to Dan Tri reporter, Ms. Huong said she was quite surprised when her actions were praised by the online community. The victim in the incident was Ms. NTH (50 years old, residing in Quang Trung ward, Thanh Hoa province).

Ms. Huong said that at around 3 p.m. on October 23, while on her way to a meeting, she saw a woman lying motionless on the side of the road after a traffic accident. Immediately, the female director got out of the car to check the victim's health, provided first aid, and called the medical team and ambulance to the scene.

“The hospital is only about 5km from the scene. While waiting for the medical staff and ambulance to arrive, I did a preliminary check-up on the patient,” Ms. Huong said.

After being taken to Bim Son General Hospital, Ms. Huong directly examined the patient and determined that he had a concussion. By the morning of October 24, the victim was out of danger and could eat porridge, but was still vomiting.

“After examining and treating the patient, I continued to go to the meeting, not knowing that my actions were shared on social networks.

On the morning of October 24, I saw many people asking about me, and I realized that everyone was praising me. I thought this was just a normal professional reflex, because if it were another doctor, they would do the same as me,” Ms. Huong confided.

The hospital director also shared that in case of an accident, if you do not have medical expertise, you should observe and monitor the victim's condition and wait for the medical team to come and provide first aid. If you have medical expertise, you should provide first aid promptly to avoid bad situations.

Mrs. Huong added that her son had also been in an accident before and was fortunately rescued by people in time. Therefore, she felt very touched and happy to be able to help someone in trouble.
