Bitter melon soup is always a staple on Tet (Lunar New Year) feast tables.

The director of the film "Southern Forest Land" confided: "Actually, it's hard for Vietnamese food not to be delicious, because our cuisine is influenced by two countries famous for their amazing food: China and France. However, the uniqueness of Vietnamese cuisine lies in the saying 'adapt to your resources.' When dishes from these two countries came to Vietnam, the Vietnamese skillfully adapted them, using local ingredients to create unique dishes. Despite the influences, over time, these dishes have developed in their own way, selecting only the best elements."

In this special episode, runner-up Vu Thuy Quynh fondly recalled her Tet (Lunar New Year) memories in her hometown of Dien Bien : "When Tet comes, not only family but also neighbors become closer, gathering together to create a warm and joyful atmosphere. For me, Tet is the most anticipated time of the year, because it's when the family gets together to wrap banh chung (traditional rice cakes), make gio (Vietnamese sausage), braised pork, and prepare dishes before New Year's Eve. The feeling of cooking with family, sharing the joy in each step, is what I love most. After a year of hard work, the moments of gathering with family during Tet are priceless."
