The largest paper canning line for vegetables and fruits in the North comes into operation

(Chinhphu.vn) - Today (July 2), the largest paper canning line for fruits and vegetables in the North was officially inaugurated in Son La, marking a new step forward in the Vietnamese food processing industry.

This is a production line that applies Tetra Recart technology, helping to optimize operations, reduce packaging weight, cut costs and waste. The production line was invested by Dong Giao Food Export Joint Stock Company (Doveco), with a value of 4 million USD.

Attending the inauguration ceremony, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment Tran Thanh Nam highly appreciated the significance of the new production line being inaugurated in the first days of the country implementing a two-level government. This is a highlight for Son La communes to review the raw material areas, because there are enterprises investing in deep processing - the basis for Son La province to implement the value chain, develop raw material areas to ensure quality,

The representative of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment pledged to continue supporting Doveco in particular and businesses in general to expand their raw material areas. At the same time, he also expressed his hope that Doveco would help Son La farmers develop their raw material areas, strengthening the relationship between farmers and cooperatives, in which businesses are the "leading locomotives".

It is known that the Tetra Recart line is part of the agricultural processing center located by Doveco in Son La, next to two other agricultural processing factories in Ninh Binh and Gia Lai.

Inaugurated in 2023, Doveco Son La center will have a capacity of up to 52,000 products/year. The Tetra Recart packaging line alone can meet the capacity of 6,000 boxes/hour.

At Doveco Son La center, in addition to the Tetra Recart paper box packaging line, there is also a complex of 3 factories with the most modern equipment and technology today. Including a concentrated fruit juice processing factory with Italian technology. A frozen fruit and vegetable processing factory with Japanese technology and equipment. A canned fruit and vegetable processing factory with Italian and German technology and equipment.

Also on July 2, Doveco will export the first batch of sweet corn packaged using Tetra Recart technology to the Japanese market.

Without the need for preservatives or refrigeration, the Tetra Recart paper canning line at the Son La center helps fruits and vegetables retain their flavor and nutritional value for a long time, thanks to the entire packaging process before sterilization.

Currently, Doveco supplies the domestic and international markets with a system of products including: concentrated products, dried products, canned products, frozen products, fruit juices... Among them, many products are popular worldwide such as canned pineapple, concentrated pineapple juice, frozen mango, sliced ​​banana, frozen longan, canned longan, lychee, frozen whole lychee...

"Up to this point, we do not have enough output to meet market demand," Doveco representative affirmed.
