Let the summer resound with children's laughter

Summer is the time when students can rest after a year of studying. But for many parents, this is the most difficult time to manage, because they have to go to work and worry about their children not having anyone to look after them. Understanding these worries, the teachers of Hoa Sen Kindergarten (Dai Phuc Commune) still volunteer to continue working to share the difficulties with the families.

Hoa Sen Kindergarten often organizes many exciting activities, suitable to children's interests.

“We don’t want anyone to have to quit their job or have difficulty working because they don’t have someone to look after their children. So, if parents need us, we will be there,” Ms. Nguyen Le Thu, Principal of Hoa Sen Kindergarten, shared simply.

Not stopping at the level of “babysitting”, the summer program designed by the teachers of Hoa Sen Kindergarten has a clear plan, closely following the preschool education program but lighter, suitable for the psychology of the age and the summer climate. From 18-month-old children to 5-year-old children, all can participate in learning and experiencing activities according to age groups in a scientific and flexible way.

The highlight of the summer class is the diverse experiential activities, such as: Learning life skills (communication, self-service, situation handling...), getting acquainted with English, learning to dance, creative painting, playing soccer... The classroom space is also flexibly changed by the teachers to create a new feeling, helping children to be excited about going to school every day.

Teachers at Hoa Sen Kindergarten enthusiastically guide and care for children.

“It is hard work. But when you see the children happy, safe and parents feel secure, it is all worth it,” said teacher Le Thi Thuy, a teacher of kindergarten class 4TA2.

A big plus for the summer program is the careful attention paid to nutrition. The school uses nutrition software to create a summer menu with lots of green vegetables and fruits, balanced in nutrients, suitable for the physical condition and developmental needs of children.

All food inputs are strictly controlled, ensuring the highest level of food safety and hygiene. 100% of children eat at school; their health is monitored by growth charts and measured periodically four times a year.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Ngan, in Son Tap 3 residential group, Dai Phuc commune, said: Both my husband and I work as workers more than 20km away from home, and we live far from my grandparents, so at the beginning of the summer vacation, I had to take 2 weeks off to stay home and look after my 2 children. Luckily, I was able to send my children to school so I could work with peace of mind. The cost of sending my children to school is not large, while they are cared for and study in a safe environment, so I feel very secure.

Diverse summer educational activities at Hoa Sen Kindergarten.

Hoa Sen Kindergarten currently has 28 staff and teachers. Of which, 88.5% of the teachers have achieved above-standard training; 100% of the staff and teachers have actively participated in regular professional training and development. The quality of the staff is the foundation for the school to effectively organize flexible programs such as summer classes.

In addition to professional activities, the School also organizes many festivals and useful playgrounds, such as "Golden Bell of English", "Young Children's Health Festival", "English Festival"... Thereby contributing to the development of skills, abilities and confidence for children from preschool age.
