Emotional music night honoring Professor, People's Artist Trung Kien

“Loi ca con mai” is produced by the Vocal Music Department, Vietnam National Academy of Music (VNAM), performed by Vang Son Mot Thuo, under the artistic direction of Dr. People's Artist Do Quoc Hung - Director of VNAM, General Director Dr. Meritorious Artist Tan Nhan, Master Nguyen Thi Bich Hong as production director, and Music Director Han Viet Tu.

Dr. Meritorious Artist Tan Nhan, Head of the Vocal Music Department, General Director of the program, emphasized the stature and legacy that Professor and People's Artist Trung Kien left behind, in both the performance and pedagogical fields: "In the flow of Vietnamese music, Professor and People's Artist Trung Kien is a giant, a legendary tenor of revolutionary music. His voice is the heart of an artist - a soldier, a symbol of faith, ideals and love for the Fatherland. But above all, the great legacy he left behind is the generations of students - today's artists who are still following, bringing Vietnamese singing far and wide. With his passion and love for the profession, he instilled in his students a passion for art, professional ethics and the personality of an artist."

The auditorium was packed with audiences watching the music night, bursting with emotion when they heard the voice of People's Artist Trung Kien at the very beginning of the program, singing in harmony with People's Artist Quang Tho and People's Artist Quoc Hung in the performance "Chieu Hai Cang" (Russian music). Continuing the artistic legacy of Professor and People's Artist Trung Kien, People's Artist Quang Tho and People's Artist Quoc Hung are both big names in music, and are also teachers who have trained many generations of talented artists, contributing greatly to the development of Vietnamese music.

Not only “Chieu hai cang”, the program “Loi ca con mai” also has many touching moments when continuing to bring the voice of People’s Artist Trung Kien into special performances with his students. “Bai ca Truong Son” (Tran Chung) with Meritorious Artist Dang Duong, Trong Tan and Le Anh Dung or “Gui nang cho em” (poem by Bui Van Dung, music by Pham Tuyen) sung by Le Anh Dung were arranged so that the teacher’s voice resonates like a guide.

The program “The Songs Remain Forever” is divided into 3 parts, summarizing the career and dedication of Professor, People's Artist Trung Kien to the country's music and his role as an "architect" in teaching and training vocal music in Vietnam, while also showing the continuation of the musical legacy of the famous teacher and artist.

The excellent students together revived the works inherited from the musical heritage of Professor, People's Artist Trung Kien, as a tribute, a song continuing the flow of the heritage that he initiated. Through these performances, the audience not only heard emotional, romantic melodies, but also felt the journey of a heritage, from the heart of the teacher passed down to generations of students, spreading in each song.

That is the clearest proof of the vitality of the music genre that Professor, People's Artist Trung Kien has opened up a beautiful, lasting and emotional flow.

More than just a music night, “Loi ca con mai” is a profound tribute, where the audience clearly feels the stature of a great artist - pedagogue, who laid the foundation for the development of Vietnamese vocal music. There, music, technique and emotion blend together, creating a memorable experience, leaving a deep echo in the hearts of the audience.
