Following Google Maps, 2 Dutch tourists got lost in the deep forest, the commune police used a tractor to rescue them.

Two Dutch tourists were traveling by motorbike and got lost in the deep forest of Con Tien at night, about 7km from the nearest house. They were rescued by the commune police using a tractor.

At noon on October 8th, Lieutenant Colonel Vo Quang Tien, Deputy Head of the Con Tien Commune Police ( Quang Tri province ), announced that they had successfully rescued two Dutch tourists who were lost in the forest, in coordination with local residents.

At around 6 PM on October 6th, villagers returning from the forest discovered two tourists in distress in the Khe Me hamlet area, about 7km from the last house on the edge of the forest, and immediately reported it to the commune police.

These two people were riding a large-displacement motorcycle following directions on Google Maps, and mistakenly turned onto a forest trail.

It was dark and raining heavily at the time, causing the vehicle to slide down into the ravine. The two tourists were not injured.

Upon receiving the report, about 10 people, including local police officers and residents, organized a search.

The terrain in the area is rugged, the roads are muddy, and transportation is only possible by agricultural tractors.

The rescue team spent more than three hours trekking through the forest, and only managed to get the two tourists and their vehicle out of the dangerous area at 9:30 PM.

After being rescued, the two tourists were deeply moved and expressed their gratitude, taking souvenir photos with the rescue team and writing thank-you letters. They said they had traveled from Hanoi, driving south for tourism , but got lost.

The two men then made their way back to Cam Lo commune to rest and repair their vehicle.
