In the January competition of the third quarter, Duc only came in second place. While waiting for the results of the remaining two monthly competitions to see if he could qualify for the quarterly competition, Duc continued to focus on studying and improving on the areas where he didn't perform well in the previous competition.
Overjoyed when Duc qualified for the quarter-final round, he worked hard to improve his knowledge and prepare to become the next Olympia contestant in its 24th year.

Born into a family with a tradition of academic excellence, Vo Quang Phu Duc was equipped with a foundation of knowledge from a young age. Duc's mother, Nguyen Thi Minh Chau, recounts that her son loved reading books and newspapers, and science programs always fascinated him.
Since first grade, Duc often watched the "Road to Olympia" competition. And without realizing it, Duc dreamed of one day participating in the program to win the laurel wreath. From then on, Phu Duc studied harder to accumulate more knowledge.
For the past 11 years, Duc has consistently achieved excellent academic results. Before heading to Hanoi to participate in the "Road to Olympia" final, Duc shared that mathematics and foreign languages are his two favorite subjects. To represent Quoc Hoc High School for the Gifted in Hue in the "Road to Olympia" competition, Phu Duc had to overcome many rounds of competition, starting from the Red Laurel competition at the school level. For Phu Duc, "Road to Olympia" is a passion and a dream he has pursued since childhood, and it has now become a reality.
In preparation for the final match, in addition to knowledge, Phu Duc tried to improve his speed reading skills, reflexes, and typing abilities. At school, teachers and friends always supported Phu Duc both mentally and academically.
