Dong Nai province has always been the leading locality in receiving donated blood in the Southern region. In 2024 alone, Dong Nai province received nearly 38,000 units of blood, accounting for about 1/4 of the total amount of blood received by Cho Ray Hospital. Thereby, contributing to ensuring blood reserves, promptly supplying hospitals for emergency and treatment of many patients. After this standard model, Cho Ray Hospital will continue to expand to other localities from 2026.

Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial Red Cross Society Nguyen Tan Hung emphasized: The implementation of a fixed voluntary blood donation point at Dong Nai General Hospital is of great significance, helping people easily access the blood donation point and take the initiative in donating blood. From there, the blood reserve for hospitals will be regularly supplemented. The Society will provide certificates and gifts to blood donors in accordance with regulations; at the same time, increase propaganda so that people know about this blood donation point.

Specialist Doctor II Ngo Duc Tuan, Director of Dong Nai General Hospital, said: Fixed blood donation points are fully invested in facilities, equipment and human resources, to create favorable and safe conditions for people to donate blood regularly. From there, creating a proactive blood reserve, reducing dependence on mobile blood donation campaigns, contributing to ensuring safety in emergency, surgery and treatment.
