Mr. Pham Le Nhat Minh, Deputy Director of the Blood Transfusion Center at Cho Ray Hospital, stated: "For the past 20 years,
Dong Nai province has consistently been a leading locality in receiving donated blood in the Southern region. In 2024 alone, Dong Nai province received nearly 38,000 units of blood, accounting for approximately one-quarter of the total blood received by Cho Ray Hospital. This has contributed to ensuring a sufficient blood reserve, promptly supplying hospitals for emergency care and treatment of many patients. Following this exemplary model, Cho Ray Hospital will continue to expand it to other localities starting in 2026."

Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial Red Cross Society, Nguyen Tan Hung, emphasized: The establishment of a permanent voluntary blood donation point at Dong Nai General Hospital is of great importance, making it easier for people to access blood donation and allowing them to proactively manage their time to donate blood. This will help to regularly replenish the blood reserves of hospitals. The Society will provide certificates and gifts to blood donors in accordance with regulations; at the same time, it will strengthen publicity to raise public awareness of this blood donation point.

According to Dr. Ngo Duc Tuan, Director of Dong Nai General Hospital, the fixed blood donation center is fully equipped with facilities, equipment, and personnel to create favorable and safe conditions for people to donate blood regularly. This creates a proactive blood reserve, reducing reliance on mobile blood donation drives and contributing to safety in emergency situations, surgery, and treatment.
