Dien Bien Dong ranks second in the province in terms of housing progress for the poor.

DBP - Implementing the Housing Program for the Poor, as of September 28, Dien Bien Dong district has completed 482/574 houses, reaching 84% of the assigned plan. Of which, 179 houses have been completed and 303 are under construction (88 houses are being leveled - foundation, 168 houses are being built with frames and walls and 47 houses are being completed with roofs). The completed houses all meet the 3 requirements; house type standards, structure, house area... In particular, many households have borrowed policy credit capital from the Social Policy Bank, mobilizing counterpart resources to build spacious and solid houses.
