Faced with that situation, Da Nang Power Company implemented the direction of the Central Power Corporation (EVNCPC); proactively coordinated with the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Control and Search and Rescue of localities to review high-risk areas, check the route corridor and equipment throughout the area.

To ensure people's safety during floods, power management teams have stopped supplying power to nearly 3,500 transformer stations in deeply flooded areas, low-lying areas and places at risk of landslides, minimizing the risk of fire and electrical accidents among people.
Heavy rains caused significant damage to the power system. In the Tra My area, landslides caused nearly 15 medium and low voltage power poles to collapse.
Steep mountainous terrain and cut-off roads make access and recovery extremely difficult.

Particularly serious was the incident in Phuoc Son district (old) on October 28, when a landslide in Phuoc Hiep commune completely knocked down pole number 33 of the Phuoc Son - Dak Mi 4B 110kV line, the only power supply line for the Phuoc Son 110kV station.
At the same time, the 22kV backup line from Hiep Duc (old) was damaged by floods, causing a power outage in the entire district, greatly affecting people's lives, communications and disaster response.

Immediately after the incident, Da Nang Electricity Company established a special working group including officers from the Safety Department, Technical Department and High Voltage Grid Enterprise to urgently approach the scene to assess and develop a solution.
However, many roads had landslides and rocks continued to slide, making it impossible for motor vehicles to move, forcing forces to walk to approach the incident area.
Deputy Director of Da Nang Electricity Company Vo Anh Hung said that the unit requested support for vehicles to clear the road to transport equipment. “Clearing the route is a prerequisite. The electricity industry is mobilizing maximum human resources, taking advantage of every hour to restore power to people while ensuring safety,” Mr. Hung said.
Regarding this issue, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City Tran Nam Hung requested relevant units to coordinate to support the electricity sector; at the same time, emphasizing that restoring power supply is an urgent requirement, serving life and disaster response work.
According to EVNCPC, floods caused 376 incidents in the area, leaving 306,729 customers without power.
In Da Nang alone, there was a time when 104,219 customers were affected. EVNCPC affirmed that units are on duty 24/7, ensuring safety and restoring power as soon as possible.
