Not interested in money, deny being a tycoon

When receiving the script from director Wei Ming Kang, Ly Hung was convinced about the film's content and accepted the invitation. In addition to acting, the actor also took on the role of casting judge and content consultant for the project.

Sharing with VietNamNet , Ly Hung said that in the past few years, he has received many invitations, eager to return from directors and producers. However, the actor had to refuse them all because they were not suitable and he felt he was not "lucky" enough.

“I have turned down several big movies with revenue of hundreds of billions because I did not find them suitable. Ly Hung is known throughout Vietnam. For that reason, I want my appearance to have depth and convey a message to the audience,” Ly Hung said.

Although he does not act in films, Ly Hung regularly follows the film market. The actor believes that this is a potential time for domestic films to develop.

In the field of cinema, Ly Hung is confident that he is not a "newbie". More than 30 years ago, the actor was a box office guarantee, recognized by the Guinness Book of Vietnam Records as "The actor with the most leading roles in Vietnam" with more than 60 films.

In the 1990s, Ly Hung's salary was the highest in Vietnam. Especially, after his role in Pham Cong - Cuc Hoa , he became an A-list star and participated in many hit projects.

The actor said that if he compared his salary in the past with the present, for each role he was paid 5-10 billion VND by the filmmaker. This amount of money was enough to buy a luxury car or even a house or a new property.

Even though he earns a lot of money, Ly Hung does not have the habit of spending lavishly. After completing each project, he sends all his salary to his mother to keep.

“Since I was young, I have had a large sum of money in my hands. Luckily, I didn’t care about money, I just worked hard every day on the set, filming from early morning to late at night without getting tired. I have kept the money and am stable like now thanks to my mother,” he revealed.

Thanks to a solid foundation with his father, People's Artist Ly Huynh - a martial artist and "boss" of martial arts films, and his mother, who is good at economics , Ly Hung's family has lived comfortably for the past few decades. His siblings all have their own successful businesses, some of them are real estate entrepreneurs.

Despite his wealth, Ly Hung modestly denies being a tycoon. The actor believes that money should not be measured because each person has different needs. Personally, he likes a simple life, not trying to be too high or demanding.

I will announce the wedding, no time to be sad

Having been off the screen for a long time, Ly Hung is confident that his appeal and reputation in showbiz have not diminished compared to his heyday. Every time he goes out, the audience shows their love and always praises the handsome and stylish actor.

Coming from a martial arts family, he is conscious of maintaining his appearance in the best condition. In addition to a diet and regular activities, the actor spends 4-5 days a week exercising such as jogging, going to the gym, swimming and practicing martial arts... He has maintained this habit regularly for the past several decades.
