Investigating the cause of the car garage fire in Hue

On the morning of August 4, the leader of the People's Committee of Thanh Thuy Ward (Hue City) said that the authorities are conducting damage statistics and investigating the cause of the fire that occurred at a car garage in the area.

Previously, at around 8:30 p.m. on August 3, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department (PCCC-CNCH), Hue City Police received a fire report at a car garage near the foot of Thuy Duong overpass.

Authorities control and extinguish the fire in the car garage.

Upon receiving the news, the authorities dispatched more than 20 officers and soldiers along with four specialized fire trucks to the scene to extinguish the fire and contain it, preventing it from spreading. After a short time, the fire was completely contained.

According to witness Tong Nghia Nhat (30 years old, living near the scene), at the time of the fire, he was sitting about 10 meters away from the garage when he smelled a burning smell and saw smoke rising. Mr. Nhat immediately called the authorities.

“At that time, the garage was locked and the owner had gone home. There was no fire extinguisher around so I couldn’t put out the fire myself,” said Mr. Nhat.

At the scene, there was a car inside the garage that was not affected by the fire. However, some other items were burned and covered in black smoke.

The cause of the fire is currently being investigated by the authorities.
