The workshop gathered many experts and leading doctors in the field of nutrition and surgery from many units such as: Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management, Ministry of Health ; Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital; Thai Nguyen Central Hospital and Hoan My Dong Nai Hospital.
The workshop brought many in-depth contents, including presentations, discussions and sharing of practical experiences in the field of nutrition for surgical patients. In particular, MSc. Ha Thanh Son, Head of Clinical Nutrition, Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management, presented current regulations and policies on nutrition in hospitals.

Also here, experts emphasized the important role of nutrition in the recovery process and maintaining long-term health for patients after major surgery. In particular, re-establishing an oral diet early after surgery is the "key" to speeding up recovery.
