The seminar took place within the framework of the series of events Awakening the Heritage Land - Opening the ESG++ Wonder, with the participation of about 500 guests, including experts, investors, businesses and construction and real estate policy makers. This is a forum following the Seminar: ESG - "Passport" for the city of the future, focusing on a deeper analysis of the expanded ESG axis (ESG++), with two new pillars: Regeneration and Resilience, aiming to form a new generation of urban development thinking for Vietnam.

In the context of the world facing global environmental crises, green cities play an important role in combating climate change. In many countries in Europe, North America, and Asia, the "green city" model, where architecture, infrastructure, and natural ecosystems are planned in harmony, has become a pillar in the strategy of sustainable development.

However, being “green” alone is not enough. Many international experts have shifted from thinking about “green development” to “regenerative development”, where nature is not only protected, but also restored, where urban areas both reduce emissions and regenerate energy, resources and ecosystems. This is the core spirit of ESG++, the new generation development framework chosen by many pioneering countries.

At the Seminar, experts and scientists focused on analyzing: The strategic role of the green urban model in the national master plan, associated with the Net Zero 2050 target; lessons from successful urban regeneration models in the world; the current situation and gap between planning and implementation in Vietnam, including institutions, green investment resources, technical infrastructure, community awareness; opportunities to promote the development wave of regenerated urban areas, especially pioneering projects such as Vinhomes Green Paradise Can Gio. In particular, the ESG++ short film introduction program produced by Vinhomes provides a visual perspective on the intersection between nature - technology - community in the future urban model.

According to Associate Professor, Dr. Architect Hoang Manh Nguyen, President of the Institute of Green Urban Science and Technology, urban areas are places of residence, creating economic growth and combating global climate change. What happens in urban spaces will determine the country's ability to adapt and develop sustainably in the coming decades. The green urban model has so far brought about remarkable achievements, helping to control emissions, save energy, improve the living environment and raise public awareness.

“A regenerated city not only does not cause harm, but also returns value to the planet, cleans the air, regenerates water resources, restores habitats, creates renewable energy and improves the quality of life. This is an inevitable shift in global capital flows in the context of countries and markets being forced to adapt to climate change and sustainable development requirements. When ESG++ becomes the norm, investment behavior will also change. Real estate businesses are forced to design products according to green - smart - regenerative development standards," Mr. Hoang Manh Nguyen shared.

Dr. Architect Le Thi Bich Thuan, Deputy Director of the Institute for Urban Research and Infrastructure Development, said: The urban regeneration project is developed on the philosophy of "serving human life", putting people at the center of all planning and design. When this philosophy is put into practice in urban development, it will help businesses escape the "concrete" mindset, moving towards a more harmonious living space, where the city both retains its own identity and improves the quality of life of residents.

Regarding this issue, Vice President of Vnrea, journalist Pham Nguyen Toan, Editor-in-Chief of Vietnam Real Estate Electronic Magazine, commented that when urban areas are developed according to ESG standards, not only the living environment is improved, but the value of real estate and urban brands also increases significantly compared to the general market. The ESG model creates real, long-term value by reducing operating costs, extending the life cycle of assets; improving the quality of life, thereby increasing attractiveness to residents and investors; attracting cheaper and more stable international capital flows...

“I believe that Vinhomes Green Paradise Can Gio has the potential to meet all the conditions to achieve the above effect, because Can Gio has a special ecological location, is a biosphere reserve recognized by UNESCO, combined with a systematic development strategy according to ESG++ standards. When this project becomes an iconic urban regeneration destination, this could be a pioneering model in Vietnam in both increasing the value of real estate and raising the position of Vietnamese urban areas on the global green development map,” affirmed journalist Pham Nguyen Toan.

Vinhomes Green Paradise is planned to use only 16% of the 2,870-hectare area for construction, with the rest given priority to trees, water surfaces and ecological space. All operating energy comes from offshore wind power, solar energy and a green battery storage system, helping the urban area operate in a truly zero-emission model. Every internal vehicle is zero-emission; domestic water is treated with Ozone technology combined with UV and Chloramine, ensuring absolute safety for residents...
