On the morning of April 3rd, a delegation from the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics held a working session with the Standing Committee of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee to discuss the current state of research, application, and creative development of Ho Chi Minh's thought in the cause of national construction and defense in Thanh Hoa province.

According to the report, recognizing the importance of Party building and the political system, the Provincial Party Committee has always adhered to the Party's guidelines and policies, Ho Chi Minh Thought, constantly innovating its thinking, improving awareness, and enhancing the quality of policy issuance and forecasting capabilities to meet development requirements. The leadership, guidance, and activities of the Provincial Party Committee, the Standing Committee, and the Provincial Party Committee's Executive Board have always closely followed Party regulations, adhered to the principle of democratic centralism, upheld a high sense of responsibility, and strictly and correctly carried out their assigned tasks and powers; clearly demonstrating their role in close, decisive, timely, and comprehensive leadership and guidance across all fields, while focusing on resolving important strategic issues to create breakthroughs and new impetus for the province's development in the short and long term.

Speaking at the conference, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Lai The Nguyen expressed his pleasure in welcoming the delegation from the Ho Chi Minh National Political Academy to visit and work in Thanh Hoa province. He also provided information on the province's achievements in socio-economic development, national defense and security, Party building and the political system; and the research, application, and creative development of Ho Chi Minh's thought in the cause of national construction and defense in Thanh Hoa province in recent times.
The Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee stated: After more than 30 years of reform, Thanh Hoa is gradually becoming a new growth pole in the North of the country. The economy maintains high growth, with positive changes in every sector; culture and society continue to progress, social security is ensured, and people's lives are stable. National defense and security, and social order and safety are guaranteed. Party building and the political system are strengthened.
The achievements of Thanh Hoa province in recent times reflect the creative application of Ho Chi Minh's ideology in leadership and guidance in carrying out tasks. This includes closely monitoring local conditions and grassroots levels; promptly resolving difficulties and obstacles at the grassroots level; and addressing suggestions and proposals from the people.
The Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee also outlined the major goals and directions for the province's development in the coming period. He affirmed that, in order to successfully achieve the important goals set forth, Party committees, government agencies, the Fatherland Front, political and social organizations, and agencies and units in the province must continue to uphold the tradition of unity, self-reliance, and self-improvement, acting proactively, flexibly, creatively, with high determination, great effort, decisive and effective action, focusing on implementing several key tasks, namely:
Promoting the restructuring of the industrial sector towards improving productivity, quality, and competitiveness of products, creating breakthroughs to soon transform Thanh Hoa into one of the major centers of the North Central region and the whole country in energy, processing, and manufacturing industries.
Continue to attract investment and expand production in the province's key industries such as petrochemicals, chemicals and petrochemical product processing; electricity production and supply; mechanical engineering, electronics and metal production... Focus on developing industrial zones and clusters; promote the development of traditional handicraft products with good consumer markets, linked to tourism development. Focus on developing agriculture towards specialized, large-scale farming linked to high value-added processing, especially organic farming, clean agriculture, and circular agriculture.
Continue to improve the quality of cultural, educational, and health activities; effectively implement job creation, poverty reduction, and social security measures...
