Delegation of Department of Industry and Trade and enterprises of Lai Chau province participate in trade promotion program in India

Implementing the results achieved during the visit and working session in India of the Lai Chau provincial delegation led by Mr. Le Van Luong, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee in December 2024, the Department of Industry and Trade and enterprises of Lai Chau province continue to implement the trade promotion program in India from February 19 to 22, 2025.

A working delegation of the Department of Industry and Trade and enterprises of Lai Chau province led by Mr. Vuong The Man, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, attended the Kerala Global Investment Summit in Kochi city, Kerala, India with the aim of promoting products and seeking investment cooperation opportunities, especially in the fields of spices, tea and ginseng, which are strengths of Lai Chau province.

Promoting Lai Chau province products at the Vietnam booth

One of the notable activities of the Lai Chau delegation was the organization of a booth to promote the province's specialty products at the Vietnam booth, organized by the Vietnam Trade Office in India. Here, Lai Chau's agricultural products, spices and specialties, such as Shan Tuyet tea, natural spices, ginseng, attracted great attention from investors and visitors. The booth not only helped introduce Lai Chau's products to Indian partners but also created opportunities for Lai Chau businesses to connect and cooperate with international partners.

Attend and Speak at Vietnam - Kerala Business Forum

On February 21, the Lai Chau delegation attended and spoke at the Vietnam - Kerala Business Forum within the framework of the conference. Mr. Vuong The Man, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Lai Chau province, delivered a speech emphasizing the potential for cooperation between Lai Chau province and Kerala state in the fields of agricultural products, spices and processing industries. He also expressed his desire to seek investment opportunities from Kerala partners to further develop Lai Chau's typical agricultural products, while promoting trade between the two sides.

Visit and work with Synthite spice company

One of the important highlights of the visit was the Lai Chau delegation meeting and working with Synthite Company, one of the leading spice companies in India. During the meeting, the two sides discussed the potential for cooperation in supplying Lai Chau's natural spice products to the Indian market, and also learned about investment opportunities in the spice industry, an industry with great potential in Lai Chau province.

Meet Indian partners in spices, tea and ginseng

The Lai Chau delegation also had many meetings with Indian partners in the fields of spices, tea and ginseng. Lai Chau enterprises discussed with Indian manufacturers, distributors and potential partners to learn about market demand and cooperation opportunities to export Lai Chau products to India. This is a valuable opportunity for Lai Chau enterprises not only to learn from experience but also to expand the consumption market for the province's typical agricultural products.

Working with the Ambassador, Trade Office and staff of the Vietnamese Embassy in India

During their stay in India, the Lai Chau delegation had a working session with Ambassador Nguyen Thanh Hai, Commercial Counselor Bui Trung Thuong and staff at the Vietnamese Embassy. During the meeting, Mr. Vuong The Man and the delegation members received enthusiastic support from the Trade Office - Embassy in connecting with Indian partners, as well as receiving useful information about the market and investment opportunities in India.

The participation of the Department of Industry and Trade and businesses in the Kerala Global Investment Summit has brought many important opportunities for cooperation and investment. The activities of promoting products, meeting partners and working with the competent agencies of the Embassy of Vietnam in India have contributed to promoting trade relations between Lai Chau and Indian partners, while opening up development prospects for the province's agricultural processing industries in the future.
