Ensure conditions for organizing the Provincial Trade Union Congress

With the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development", the Provincial Trade Union Congress is a broad political activity with important political and social significance, marking a fundamental change in the model of organizing Trade Union activities in the new era. The Congress affirms the unity, synchronization and determination to innovate of the Trade Union system. At the same time, it is a forum to express the thoughts and expectations of union members and workers, creating a premise for An Giang Trade Union to set out appropriate goals and directions to more effectively implement the movement of workers, civil servants, laborers and Trade Union activities in the new period.

- Reporter: Could you tell us about the preparations for the 1st Provincial Trade Union Congress, term 2025 - 2030 up to now?

- Comrade Do Tran Thinh: The Provincial Federation of Labor carefully prepared all aspects of work to ensure the successful organization of the 1st Provincial Trade Union Congress. The work of deploying and concretizing documents, plans, and instructions on organizing the congress was carried out closely, promptly, and in accordance with the direction of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. The Provincial Federation of Labor launched a peak emulation campaign to create a competitive atmosphere among cadres, union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers, to make achievements to welcome the 14th National Party Congress, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress for the 2026-2031 term, and the Trade Union Congresses at all levels.

Up to this point, the work of preparing the necessary conditions to organize the 1st Provincial Trade Union Congress in terms of documents, personnel work, propaganda, logistics, celebration decorations, etc. has been basically completed. The system of congress documents was carefully developed by the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor, and comments were collected from the grassroots to the provincial level. The political report is complete, with highlights, ensuring inheritance and innovation, evaluating the outstanding results as well as limitations and difficulties in implementing the movement of workers, civil servants, laborers and Trade Union activities of all levels of the Provincial Trade Union, period 2023 - 2025.

The Provincial Federation of Labor always closely follows the direction of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Provincial Party Committee's resolution, the province's socio -economic development plan, the labor situation, employment, and labor relations in the province to set realistic goals and tasks for the 2025-2030 term. In particular, focusing on key contents such as improving the effectiveness of caring for and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers; supporting the improvement of professional skills, building a safe, stable, harmonious and progressive working environment...

The Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor directs the propaganda, organization and service subcommittee to promote strongly before, during and after the congress on the website, social networks and the grassroots union system. Strengthen coordination with central and local press agencies to promote comprehensive and strong propaganda about the congress, focusing on information on outstanding results in the movement of workers, civil servants, laborers and trade union activities, period 2023 - 2025.

- Reporter: What are the key tasks in preparing for the upcoming congress?

- Comrade Do Tran Thinh: To successfully organize the 1st Provincial Trade Union Congress, term 2025 - 2030, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Labor Federation continues to direct the document subcommittee, personnel subcommittee, propaganda subcommittee, organization and service subcommittee to review the progress and quality of each specific task, and proactively handle arising issues.

Carry out various forms of propaganda in the press, social networks, and the grassroots trade union system about the meaning and importance of the Provincial Trade Union Congress; spread the exciting competitive atmosphere to welcome the congress; produce quality reports and articles about outstanding results, new initiatives, good practices, typical and advanced collectives and individuals in work, labor, production, and trade union activities. Along with that, focus on organizing tasks and activities to welcome the 1st Provincial Trade Union Congress, term 2025 - 2030.
