The 0-1 defeat to the Philippines not only brought regret but also put the Vietnamese women's football team in a pressured situation in the race to win a ticket to pass the group stage of SEA Games 33.

Coach Mai Duc Chung and his team must beat Myanmar on December 11 to qualify for the semi-finals. Therefore, the whole team is preparing carefully for this important match.

This morning, December 9, the Vietnamese women's team continued to practice according to the coaching plan. The team was divided into two groups: one group practicing to recover after the previous match and the other group continuing to practice techniques and tactics in preparation for the match against Myanmar.
During the training session, coach Mai Duc Chung encouraged and acknowledged the players' efforts, while reminding the whole team to practice more bravery, accumulate experience and stay focused on the goals ahead.
Coach Mai Duc Chung affirmed that the whole team must show the highest determination to achieve good results in the upcoming match.
Sharing before the training session, midfielder Nguyen Thi Bich Thuy had a frank assessment: "My team and I did not do well and also lacked a bit of luck."

Talking about the confrontation with Myanmar, Bich Thuy said: "My team and I will do our best, focus and be more determined."
Sending a message to the fans, Bich Thuy shared: “I would like to send my greetings and thanks to the fan club. In the next match, I hope you will continue to come to the stadium and support us.”
When asked about her ability to score, the midfielder of the Vietnamese women's team modestly said: "I will try my best, play with the highest determination and hope luck will come to me and the whole team."
In Group B, Myanmar is currently leading with 6 absolute points, while Vietnam and the Philippines each have 3 points.
In the final round, the Philippines will only meet Malaysia and will most likely win all 3 points, turning the match against Myanmar into a "life and death" confrontation for coach Mai Duc Chung and his team.
The Vietnamese women's team has only one possible option, which is to defeat Myanmar. The match between the Vietnamese women's team and Myanmar will take place at 4:00 p.m. on December 11 at Chonburi Stadium (Thailand).
