Possessing attractive natural resources and diverse indigenous culture, Yen Lap district is gradually affirming its position on the tourism map with remarkable progress in the period of 2021-2024 by taking advantage of favorable factors to develop types of eco-tourism, community-based cultural tourism and experiential tourism. In the context of Vietnam's tourism industry strongly shifting towards developing green tourism, sustainable tourism and focusing on experiences, Yen Lap emerges as a "rough gem" that needs to be awakened and exploited effectively.

Ethnic cultural identity is one of the great potentials for developing Yen Lap tourism .

In recent times, Yen Lap district has had clear orientations in developing tourism associated with the cultural identity of ethnic minorities, especially the Muong people. With a natural area of ​​over 400km2, a population of over 90,000 people, of which more than 80% are ethnic minorities, mainly Muong, Dao... Yen Lap is a colorful cultural space with a system of festivals, folk beliefs and unique customs.

The tourist attractions that are being invested in include the cultural heritage experience tourist destination of the Forest Opening Ceremony in Minh Hoa commune, where visitors can immerse themselves in the unique spiritual and cultural space and learn about traditional rituals. Next is the typical tourist destination associated with the Ga Gay sticky rice area in My Lung commune, offering the opportunity to explore the cultivation process, process famous specialties and experience peaceful rural life. The Ton Son - Mo Xuan historical relic site in Xuan An commune is a meaningful destination for those who love history and want to learn about the origins and traditions of the nation's struggle. Finally, the Ngoi Gianh Lake eco-tourism area in Trung Son commune with its poetic lake landscape promises to become an ideal destination for resort tourism and outdoor activities.

Comrade Dinh Van Tiep - Vice Chairman of Trung Son Commune People's Committee said: Ngoi Gianh reservoir opens up a great opportunity to develop community tourism in the locality. The commune has a plan to propagate to the people to protect the environment to promote the value of this reservoir. Currently, the reservoir has been planted with trees along the lakeside to create a green, clean and beautiful landscape. In addition, the commune actively propagates to the people to preserve the culture of the Muong, Dao and Mong ethnic groups to later serve tourism tours. Currently, the locality has 2 clubs to develop Muong dance and Muong ethnic identities...

It is known that to serve these tourist destinations, Yen Lap district also focuses on investing in traffic infrastructure, especially the Xuan An - Trung Son route (connecting Ngoi Gianh Lake) nearly 15km long with a total capital of 150 billion VND has been renovated and upgraded, creating maximum convenience for tourists' travel.

Yen Lap also pays special attention to developing agricultural tourism products and OCOP products. The district has supported organizations and individuals to produce products in the direction of quality standardization, brand building and trade promotion. The encouraging result is that Yen Lap currently has 18 OCOP products reaching 3 to 4 stars, with guaranteed quality and beautiful designs. Typical products such as My Lung Ga Crow sticky rice, Nguyen Phat Cordyceps, Nguyen Phat Cordyceps honey have been widely displayed and introduced at major supermarkets, festivals and fairs in the province, contributing to promoting the potential and strengths of the locality to tourists inside and outside the province.

Women's Union members implement a model of planting flowers and ornamental plants to beautify the environment associated with developing eco-tourism and community tourism in Trung Son commune.

Tourism promotion and advertising are promoted through many mass media channels, from local and central newspapers to digital platforms such as the district website, fanpage "Yen Lap Homeland" and "Center for Culture - Sports - Tourism and Communications". Reports and videos introducing the cultural identity, customs, historical heritage and scenic spots of Yen Lap are regularly posted, creating great attraction for tourists. In the coming time, Yen Lap commits to continue researching and issuing mechanisms to encourage investment in tourism, especially community tourism and eco-tourism. The goal is to build a civilized and friendly tourism community, create a safe and favorable environment to attract tourists, and at the same time enhance the role of local people in tourism development.

In order to promote the cultural and natural values ​​of the district, contributing to attracting tourists to Phu Tho, we are aiming to call for investment to develop tourism products here through organizing Presstrip and Famtrip groups. We hope to call for investors to develop tourism products in the district, in which priority is given to developing eco-tourism products, followed by community cultural tourism products...

With a clear orientation and investment attention from the province, along with maximizing the unique cultural and natural potential, Yen Lap is taking solid steps to become an attractive destination on the Phu Tho tourism map, contributing to the sustainable development of the local socio-economy.
