Duc Hue deploys plan to participate in Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day

On April 2nd, 2025, the People's Committee of Duc Hue District held a conference to implement the plan for participating in the 4th Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day in 2025. The conference was chaired by Mr. Le Van Nen, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Duc Hue District. Attendees included representatives from the Long An Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Provincial Museum and Library, and other relevant agencies and units of the district.

Duc Hue District is honored to be chosen by Long An Province as the venue for the launching ceremony to celebrate the 4th Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day in 2025 on April 18th. The purpose is... The aim is to promote the value of books and reading culture in the community; to enhance the responsibility of all levels, sectors, and localities towards developing reading culture. At the same time, it aims to effectively carry out communication and promotion of books and the development of reading culture in the community, contributing to building a cultural and spiritual life and promoting the moral values ​​and tradition of studiousness of the Vietnamese people.

According to the plan, during the Vietnamese Book and Reading Culture Day, Duc Hue district will focus on disseminating information through media and visual promotion to widely spread the purpose and significance of the Day. Simultaneously, the district will organize book exhibitions, artistic book arrangements, and decorations to facilitate reading at libraries, reading rooms, and community post offices; organize an "artistic book arrangement" competition; and hold activities related to Vietnamese Book and Reading Culture Day in schools and other activities to promote and introduce books, donate books, provide free reader cards, and circulate books and newspapers. In addition, the district will also coordinate with community post offices to deliver books to readers in remote areas.

At the conference, relevant agencies and units discussed and agreed on the contents of the plan to ensure the event is successful and makes a strong impression on the community. The 4th Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day in Duc Hue district promises to be a meaningful event, contributing to building a vibrant cultural and spiritual life, honoring knowledge, and celebrating the nation's tradition of studiousness.
