Duc Hue deploys plan to participate in Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day

On April 2, 2025, Duc Hue District People's Committee held a conference to deploy the plan to participate in the 4th Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day in 2025. The conference was chaired by Mr. Le Van Nen - Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee. Attending the conference were representatives of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Long An , the Provincial Library Museum, and related agencies and units of the district.

Duc Hue district was honored to be chosen by Long An province as the venue for the launching ceremony to celebrate the 4th Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day in 2025 on April 18. With the purpose of to promote the value of books and reading culture in the community; enhance the responsibility of all levels, sectors and localities for developing reading culture. At the same time, effectively carry out communication and promotion of books, develop reading culture in the community, contribute to building spiritual and cultural life, promote moral values and the tradition of studiousness of the Vietnamese people.

According to the plan, during the organization of Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day, Duc Hue district will focus on propaganda through media and visual propaganda to widely spread the purpose and meaning of Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day. At the same time, the district will also organize book displays, artistic book arrangements, and decoration for reading at the library system, reading rooms, and post offices and communal cultural points; organize a "artistic book arrangement" contest; organize activities of Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day in the school system and other activities to promote, introduce books, give books, give free reader cards, and circulate books and newspapers. In addition, the district will also coordinate with post offices and communal cultural points to deliver books to readers in remote areas.

At the conference, relevant agencies and units discussed and agreed on the contents of the plan to ensure the event was successful and left a strong impression on the community. The 4th Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day in Duc Hue district promises to be a meaningful festival, contributing to building spiritual and cultural life, honoring knowledge and the nation's tradition of studiousness.
