On the afternoon of March 23, a representative of the Traffic Police Department (C08) of the Ministry of Public Security said that the working group of Highway Traffic Control Patrol Team No. 2 (Team 2, C08) had just caught a group of drivers gambling on the Hanoi - Hai Phong highway.

Specifically, at around 3:30 p.m. on March 22, the working group of Team 2 was on mobile patrol duty on the Hanoi - Hai Phong expressway. When reaching Km71+100, in the direction of Hai Phong - Hanoi, passing through Thanh Ha district ( Hai Duong ), the working group discovered a closed-box truck with license plate 29C - 846.XX illegally parked in the emergency lane.

Upon inspection, the working group discovered that there were 4 people in the car, including driver PVH (39 years old), NTC (42 years old), VHN (36 years old) and NHT (43 years old), all residing in Son Tay Town ( Hanoi ), gambling for money in the form of playing cards.

Through investigation, all four people admitted to their illegal gambling.

After making a record at the scene, the working group handed over 4 people, vehicles and evidence to the Criminal Police Team of Thanh Ha District Police for investigation and handling according to authority.
