Johnson appeared in a hoodie and shorts in the video and said he decided to make the video while working out, saying he was expressing "a difficult thing that we face".
"Especially if there are a lot of guys out there, like me, who had a tough love, complicated relationship with their father. I went through that with my father and I know a lot of you guys did too. It's complicated, because our fathers are not here now and we always wish they were alive," Dwayne Johnson said, referring to his father, the Canadian professional wrestler who died at the age of 75.
"I wish you were here one more time so I could say, 'I love you, Dad, thank you for raising me to the best of your ability even though things were complicated and sometimes we clashed,'" Dwayne Johnson continued in the video.
The Black Adam actor went on to urge fans with a complicated relationship with their father to "try to reconcile, try to heal" before sharing that he and Rocky were not speaking at the time of his father's death.

"I had the biggest fight with my godfather on Christmas 2019. It was the biggest 'fight' I've ever had with him in my life. We were so tense, we weren't talking and three weeks later he was dead. That was it. I never got a chance to say goodbye and I never even got a chance to reconcile," he explained in the video.
"If the old man is still with you and you have the opportunity to reconcile, do it. All of our fathers in heaven are looking down on us. Hopefully they are proud of what they see," Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson concluded.
