“FPT Complex will be an inspirational model”

On April 20, 2023, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Huy Dung and Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang announced and awarded the Decision to recognize the FPT Office Complex (FPT Complex), as a centralized information technology park for FPT.

FPT Complex will enjoy all tax and investment incentives for concentrated IT parks and other incentives applicable to concentrated IT parks as prescribed by law. Currently, FPT Complex is the workplace of more than 6,000 employees in the software sector. It is expected that in 2024, this complex will complete phase 3, providing workplaces for 10,000 employees.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Huy Dung said that this is a meaningful event affirming the important role of Da Nang city in the development of the IT and communications industry in Vietnam. Up to now, concentrated IT parks in Vietnam have initially achieved certain successes, with models that have inspired other places such as Quang Trung Software Park, Da Nang Software Park and today, the FPT Complex concentrated IT park.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Huy Dung added that in the coming time, the Ministry of Information and Communications will commit to working with the FPT Complex IT park, promoting Da Nang to become Vietnam's technology center and rise to become a regional center for IT and communications.

Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Huy Dung said that up to now, concentrated IT parks in Vietnam have initially achieved certain successes.

Ms. Ngo Thi Kim Yen, Vice Chairwoman of the Da Nang People's Committee, said that FPT Complex is the third concentrated IT park in Da Nang and the fifth IT park decided to be established by the Prime Minister. This is also the first concentrated IT park invested by capital from enterprises in the city. FPT Complex will contribute to enhancing the position and brand of Da Nang's IT industry, contributing to building Da Nang's digital technology industry into a key economic sector. According to Ms. Ngo Thi Kim Yen, FPT Complex currently contributes 69% of Da Nang's total software export turnover and plays an important role in attracting high-quality human resources from other places to gather here.

Sharing at the event, Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa, General Director of FPT said: "The FPT Complex concentrated IT park not only contributes to the development of FPT in particular and Da Nang city in general, but also contributes to bringing a new image of life to Da Nang people through creating thousands of stable jobs and hundreds of international delegations".

With the desire to turn Da Nang into a global digital resource center, Mr. Khoa expressed his hope that the leaders of Da Nang City will continue to create conditions for the development of a connection ecosystem, as well as expand FPT Complex in the next 3-5 years. At the same time, promote attracting investors, promote green economic development, expand the network of high-quality human resource training centers to create new attraction for Da Nang. At the same time, Mr. Khoa also committed that FPT will devote all resources as well as accompany businesses to invest in Da Nang, turning the city into a global digital resource center and contributing to bringing the best life to local people.

Investing in building software and training park complexes, as well as large resource centers in Vietnam and globally is one of the strategic directions of FPT Corporation, aiming to create long-term growth momentum, contributing to promoting the development of human resources and the Vietnamese IT industry. FPT Complex is built according to the campus model, integrating all the necessary functional spaces for living and comfortable working space like a resort.

FPT office complex is recognized as a concentrated IT park . With the recognition as a concentrated IT park, FPT office complex is subject to preferential policies stipulated in Decree 154 of 2013 of the Government and many other preferential policies.
