Nearly 200 athletes participate in the "Green Race"

BTO-On the afternoon of July 30, at the swimming pool of the Provincial Sports Training, Coaching and Competition Center, the final round and award ceremony of the first "Green Race" in 2023 took place. The swimming tournament was organized by the Center for Culture, Sports and Tourism of Phan Thiet City in coordination with the City Youth Union on July 29-30.

There were 187 athletes, including 102 males and 85 females from 11 clubs, businesses, wards, communes and schools in the city, competing in 4 age groups. Specifically, the 8-9 age group swam freestyle, 25m individual breaststroke for men and women. The 10-11 age group, 12-13 age group, 14-15 age group swam freestyle, 50m individual breaststroke and 200m mixed relay for men and women.

The organizing committee awarded medals (first, second, third) to athletes with high achievements in the competitions.

The final match was exciting and dramatic as the quality of the athletes was quite even.

Athletes receive medals in the relay event for the 10-11 age group.

The swimming competition has created a joyful and exciting atmosphere among teenagers and children, encouraging them to compete in physical training, improving their physical strength, affirming that it is a useful and healthy playground for children in the summer. At the same time, it has promoted and encouraged parents and authorities at all levels to pay more attention to the work of preventing drowning for children.
