In the fourth quarter of 2025, major harvests in countries such as Colombia, Central America, Mexico and Vietnam will provide large supplies to the global market. Favorable climatic conditions in these regions could increase production, creating downward pressure on prices.
Signs of declining inventories and continued growth in global coffee demand are supporting prices in the long term. Global coffee prices are hovering around 50-year highs, reflecting past supply-demand imbalances.
New policies such as US tariffs on Brazilian coffee will continue to cause some uncertainty in the market.
In the short term, coffee prices may continue to fluctuate within a narrow range as the market is in the off-season. However, in the longer term, as new harvests begin in major producing countries such as Vietnam, Brazil and Central America, supplies will be more abundant, potentially putting upward pressure on prices.
Domestic coffee prices today September 9, 2025
Coffee prices today in four Central Highlands provinces, including Dak Lak, Lam Dong, Gia Lai and Dak Nong , all remained unchanged after a series of sharp declines.
Specifically, the coffee price in Lam Dong is currently at 112,000 VND/kg, while Gia Lai is at 112,800 VND/kg. In Dak Lak , the price is 113,200 VND/kg. Dak Nong holds the highest coffee price at 113,300 VND/kg.
Based on market developments, domestic coffee prices on September 9, 2025 are likely to remain stable or fluctuate slightly. Currently, trading activities in coffee growing areas are slowing down as people wait for the new harvest. This reduces supply in the domestic market, but at the same time, the pressure from the new crop has not yet affected prices.
Normally, September and October are the off-season months, so Vietnam's export output is often at its lowest level of the year. Therefore, domestic supply and demand factors do not have many significant changes in the short term.
