Pepper prices in the country today increased slightly in some localities.
Pepper prices this morning recorded an increase of 500 VND/kg in many localities compared to the previous day. The purchasing price range in key provinces is currently fluctuating from 148,000 - 149,500 VND/kg.
In Dak Nong (Lam Dong province), pepper price was purchased at 149,500 VND/kg, the highest in the region, up 500 VND/kg. Dak Lak province remained stable at 149,000 VND/kg.
The remaining provinces all increased by 500 VND/kg and remained at 148,000 VND/kg. These localities include Gia Lai, Dong Nai, Ba Ria - Vung Tau (Ho Chi Minh City) and Binh Phuoc (Dong Nai province).

World pepper prices remain stable in early December
At the end of the most recent trading session, the International Pepper Community (IPC) listed the price of Lampung black pepper (Indonesia) at 6,995 USD/ton; the price of Brazilian black pepper ASTA 570 at 6,150 USD/ton. Kuching black pepper (Malaysia) ASTA is priced at 9,000 USD/ton. For white pepper, Muntok is priced at 9,643 USD/ton and Malaysian white pepper ASTA is at 12,000 USD/ton.
IPC commented that the world market in early December had diverse fluctuations but remained stable. The US market recorded stronger demand from some sources, while buyers in other regions continued to buy cautiously due to previous commitments. Domestic and export pepper prices had moderate adjustments for two consecutive weeks, along with the Indian Rupee losing 1% against the USD.
After two weeks of stability, domestic and international pepper prices in Indonesia eased slightly in early December, in line with the general trend. Malaysian domestic prices remained stable, while export prices declined slightly. In Sri Lanka, domestic prices remained stable, supported by favorable domestic demand and supply conditions. Prices of Brazilian, Cambodian black pepper and Chinese white pepper were also generally stable in early December.
According to statistics from the Vietnam Pepper and Spice Association (VPSA), in November, Vietnam exported 18,582 tons of pepper of all kinds, including 16,322 tons of black pepper and 2,260 tons of white pepper.
By the end of November, Vietnam had exported 225,009 tons of pepper, of which black pepper reached 192,899 tons and white pepper reached 32,110 tons. The total export turnover exceeded the 1.5 billion USD mark. Black pepper alone reached nearly 1.25 billion USD and white pepper reached more than 262 million USD.
The international trading price of Vietnamese black pepper is at 6,500 USD/ton for 500 g/l, 6,700 USD/ton for 550 g/l, and 9,250 USD/ton for white pepper.
