Gasoline prices continue to fall sharply, RON95 falls below 20,000 VND/liter

The Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance have adjusted fuel prices, with a significant reduction for both gasoline and diesel, effective from 3 PM on March 12th.

E5 RON 92 gasoline now costs 19,281 VND/liter, a decrease of 680 VND/liter compared to the current price. After the adjustment, the price of E5 RON 92 gasoline is 368 VND/liter lower than RON95-III gasoline.

Similarly, RON 95-III gasoline now costs 19,649 VND/liter, a decrease of 753 VND/liter.

Diesel fuel 0.05S is priced at 17,898 VND/liter, a decrease of 435 VND/liter. Kerosene is priced at 18,090 VND/liter, a decrease of 483 VND/liter compared to the current price; mazut 180CST 3.5S is adjusted to 16,995 VND/kg, a decrease of 155 VND/kg.

In this price adjustment period, the inter-ministerial committee decided to continue not allocating to or using the fuel price stabilization fund for E5 RON 92 gasoline, RON 95 gasoline, diesel fuel, kerosene, and fuel oil.

According to the inter-ministerial agency of Industry and Trade - Finance, the market gasoline The global market , operating from March 6th to March 12th, was influenced by several factors, with a predominantly downward trend.

These include increased oil production from OPEC+ countries, uncertainty in US tariff policies on goods from other countries, and the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine despite steps taken to find a peace solution...

The factors mentioned above have led to a general downward trend in world oil prices in recent days, continuing the decline seen in previous periods.

Specifically, gasoline prices tended to decrease by 4.44-4.51%, while kerosene decreased slightly by 2.92%, diesel by 2.59%, and fuel oil by 0.90%.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade announced that fuel retailers will adjust prices at 3 PM today, March 12th.

Thus, gasoline prices have continuously decreased over the past three sessions, bringing the price of RON 95 gasoline to its lowest level in over three years. Since the beginning of the year, RON 95 gasoline has increased 5 times and decreased 6 times.

The ministry stated that in order to adjust gasoline and diesel prices, it will coordinate with relevant agencies to inspect and monitor the fulfillment of responsibilities by gasoline and diesel traders in ensuring the supply of gasoline and diesel to the market, and will strictly handle violations.
