Over the course of seven days of competition at Nguyen Tat Thanh Square (Quy Nhon ward, Gia Lai province), the tournament attracted the attention, viewership, and support of a large number of people, fans, and tourists, contributing to spreading the beautiful image and values of Vietnamese traditional martial arts.

At the end of the boxing event, the tournament recorded 21/21 teams with medals, of which 10 teams had gold medals. Of which, the host Gia Lai was the top team with 21 gold medals, 9 silver medals, 9 bronze medals. The Ho Chi Minh City team ranked second with 12 gold medals, 13 silver medals, 13 bronze medals. The Army team ranked third with 7 gold medals, 2 silver medals, 6 bronze medals.

In the competition, there were 27 final matches that were extremely attractive, fierce, and full of dedication. In the end, the host Gia Lai continued to be the first team with 5 gold medals, 4 silver medals, and 1 bronze medal. The People's Public Security team ranked second with 4 gold medals, 3 silver medals, and 1 bronze medal. The third team was Da Nang with 4 gold medals, 1 silver medal, and 3 bronze medals. According to the summary from the Organizing Committee, in this event, 20/21 teams won medals, of which 11 teams won gold medals.

Gia Lai's overall first place in both combat and boxing came from many factors. Among them, the athlete resources must be mentioned. Coming to this year's tournament, host Gia Lai, after merging the administrative boundaries of Gia Lai and Binh Dinh into the new Gia Lai province, participated with a strong force of 67 athletes.

Many exciting and intense matches took place.

Having a strong track record in traditional martial arts over the years, the participation of athletes from the former Binh Dinh team has greatly strengthened the entire team. Furthermore, competing as the host nation, with the support of a large number of fans, has boosted the athletes' morale.

The organization has expanded in size and has introduced many new features.

The 2025 National Traditional Martial Arts Championship takes place at the right time when the country enters a new period after the merger of provinces and cities. If in 2024, the tournament had the participation of nearly 500 athletes from 32 provinces/cities/industries with strong traditional martial arts movements nationwide, this year the number is 531 athletes from 29 units in 21 provinces, cities and industries nationwide.

The competition was judged to be of high professional quality.

Of the 531 athletes competing, 306 will compete in boxing and 225 in combat. The athletes will compete for 126 sets of medals. The tournament will also have the participation of a team of well-trained national referees, ensuring professionalism and impartiality.

In particular, the organization and management of this year's tournament has been raised to a new level of professionalism, with many improvements, such as: Before performing the task, the referee will perform the prescribed form to test the level, enhance the sense of responsibility and ensure consistency in scoring. The distribution of performance time for the optional and practice pieces is also unified based on the registration form, meeting clear and transparent scoring criteria.

The Vietnam Traditional Martial Arts Federation is also implementing an innovative scoring method, aiming for higher standards, clarity and accuracy.

Through each season, the Organizing Committee always wants to add new features to the competition system, improve the professional quality of the tournament, not only to meet the needs of integration and professionalism but also to preserve the traditional spirit and pride of the national martial arts culture.

According to the Organizing Committee representative, to further promote the development of Vietnamese traditional martial arts, it is expected that from 2026 onwards, in addition to the top tournaments for the best individuals, a new tournament system will be deployed nationwide.
